When 80% of your revenue comes from liquor, the kitchen is the last thing anyone invests in. Every dollar going to the fryer is a dollar away from the profit center. The food exists to keep people drinking. Walk-in coolers rot because nobody checks them. Grease traps overflow because nobody cares. The kitchen is an afterthought maintained with afterthought-level attention. Taffer figured out the highest-leverage consulting niche in hospitality. High-margin product, operational problems with operational fixes, and owners desperate enough to listen. Ramsay picked the game where the economics work against you from the jump. Both are elite at what they do. Taffer's success rate is 2.4x higher because the math was always on his side.

This story is insane. Chinese-American professor Sean Wang is suing Southern Methodist University over Discrimination & Retaliation from Indian Professors. Indian professors at @SMU classified Dr. Wang as white in HR records to justify denying him a promotion. Dr. Hemang Desai, chair of the Accounting Department, along with other Indian faculty, granted tenure to 100% of Indian candidates, while denying tenure to 100% of non-Indian candidates. Indian faculty were also handed prime offices with nice views, while East Asian and non-Indian faculty were assigned to a lesser offices. This perfectly illustrates East Asians' white-adjacent status, the deep normalization of anti-white discrimination, and parasitic Indian nepotism.

So the summary is because the Sikh immigrant lied and said he was called a racist name, the British police handcuffed and detained the dying victim. What can you conclude from this but that the UK is not a safe place for white people? This is the same UK that protested over the death of George Floyd. Yet do you see anyone in the streets over what the police did to this young man?

At it's root, you believe that taking advantage of someone's kindness is shameful, and they believe it's a point of pride. Completely incompatible people.

First time I’ve ever seen more than 2/3s of the liquor shelf space at my local supermarket discounted 15–30%. A few exceptions like Jameson, of course, but mostly established brands. Tbh this wouldn’t make me sleep well if I were heavily exposed to the alcohol industry. (red price tag = discount)
