Live in the countryside I like the way it is, no solar farms, no windmills. Grass, cows and insects.

@s_jmls @SandyofSuffolk Not according to Reed Indeed CV Library Also there are physical jobs available where house prices are cheaper but wages are the same. Move 8 or ten miles from where I am the property drops by over £100,000

But, but, but, I'll have to walk 20 minutes to a station. Eeek! Oooh no. I can't commute for an hour each way. But my mum lives close by, how will I manage if I have to move away? 🤔 But jobs in xxx town don't pay £50 grand. But it might need work and decorating. Boo hoo. All my friends are here. Excuse after pathetic lame excuse. 🙄 I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about. 😜

@jjiimboslice @justinmmathews @confidencenac If there wasn't such a demand for housing the costs would be cheaper But you can't have mass legal immigration and boat refugees welcome and cheap houses. Many of the young favour open borders, they are pouring the fuel on the proverbial fire. Many will never pay the loans back

@fmc_james @justinmmathews @confidencenac James, I get it, we weren’t walking around with £1k iPhones, buying £250 trainers, etc, but two things can be true at once - we also didn’t leave uni with £70k debt and houses didn’t cost 12x the annual salary.

When did this country, especially on the left, become so ignorant and cruel that it begrudges a Granny a yearly pension amount of £12.5k? Take a hike!

@BeormasSpam @justinmmathews @confidencenac It isn't condescending to call out morons that wander around the street with a paper cup of warm piss, like addicts on a daily basis. But it obviously triggered you. Is that a skinny soya latte for you........?

@s_jmls @SandyofSuffolk You missed my point completely. People can work remotely from anywhere. Wage structures especially in the public sector are the same everywhere in the UK except London. Therefore a worker in Scotland can earn the same as a worker in Devon but house prices are cheaper in Scotland.

@fmc_james @SandyofSuffolk Factories and dockyards barely exist and are nowhere close to being as they were 40 years ago. That’s kind of the point. The jobs you had are no longer available to us.

@justinmmathews @confidencenac When I was young I took a flask to work. When I bought a takeaway I walked or cycled. I didn't drink 14 lattes a week. I didn't sit in and pay for Uber eats to deliver my takeaway. I went to College at 16 for 25 hours and worked 28. For 40 years + I have worked 45-85 hrs a week

@confidencenac Most younger people on here use the argument that they cannot afford to live in London They should be asking how the Muslims do it? 15% of London are apparently Muslims 42% of Muslims are economically nonviable So that's 1.47 million with 617,400 of them economically nonviable?

@Arsenal Sack the manager. He has played two cup games in two weeks and got it completely wrong both times. Poor selection. Poor tactics. No plan B. Defence at Arsenal is worse than @Keir_Starmer Defence of Cyprus.

Take no lectures on the “politics of envy” from people – many of them Thatcherites – who were prepared to destroy Brexit and put a communist in No. 10 all because a Tory PM dared suggest they should pay for their own social care.

@tgphelan1 @SandyofSuffolk The disgusting hiking prices in London is a different argument. But then again, when the Ayatollah of a rogue state like Iran can own property in London it has already lost any moral standards Property in London would be cheaper if we didn't let non working immigrants move there.

The trouble is young people have been told for years "you can be anything you want to be", when you can't. They've seen a handful of people make millions from being an influencer. They've all gone to university thinking it'll be a gateway to a better job when, really, if you're not exceptionally bright, you may as well not have bothered. The majority of people have to settle for run of the mill boring jobs. And young people are resentful. They're waking up to the fact life is hard graft and to get anything you have to work hard, long hours, and forego many things that, until adulthood, were handed to them on a plate. They're lashing out because too many people like teachers and their soft parents haven't prepared them for life in the real world. It's coming home to roost that life isn't all unicorns and gap years. They want what nan and grandad have. Now. Now!! They forget how nan and grandad got it and it wasn't by sitting on their bums on Playstation. Welcome to planet earth young 'uns.

@tgphelan1 @SandyofSuffolk 2 people can still buy a house on the NMW if they sacrifice like previous generations. If they live on one and a half wages and 1 quarter deposit. If they buy a fixer upper. If they avoid areas like London. In fact with remote working they can earn a good salary in a cheap area.

@SandyofSuffolk And now most can’t dream of getting on the housing ladder amid a devastating cost of living and flatlining wages. Yes Sandy, there was a post war consensus which yielded the greatest deal the working class ever had, and it’s been destroyed for future generations.

We can afford a pay rise for MPs We can afford hotels for rapist invaders You're naive @JRB___2

Isn't it funny how so many people resent pensioners getting £954 every 4 weeks, but they're happy to fund millions of working age people sitting on their bums all day watching TV because they claim to be anxious, or illegal immigrants living it up in warm hotels eating three meals a day. Strange old world.

🚨BBC Newsnight Fiery Debate: Labour MP Rachel Blake Lectures on “Tolerance” When Called Out On Illegal Immigration On BBC Newsnight, Jacob Rees-Mogg stated plainly: “I want zero illegal migrants.” Labour MP Rachel Blake immediately shot back: “You do not speak for the British people.” Rees-Mogg fired back that polling shows the public agrees with him on stopping the boats. Blake then launched into a lecture about how Britain is a “decent, compassionate and tolerant country that thrives on those values.” Rees-Mogg warned that Labour’s approach would mean hundreds of thousands more people coming in. When pressed, Blake claimed they’d simply “have a new agreement” but when Rees-Mogg demanded she give a specific figure for how many Labour would allow or control, she refused to provide one. Classic Labour: lots of virtuous slogans about tolerance from Rachel Blake, zero straight answers on illegal migration, and a clear refusal to level with the British public.

@bobbybobbyrees @Tillymint85 @IainDale Four of my friends paid in from 16 to 52, so had in effect qualified the 35 years NIC. They were all dead by 55. Never to draw a penny of pension. Yet the workshy, selfish youth attack their own parents and grandparents. Another friend paid in from 16 to 28 died in her sleep.

@Raji_James @AwakeNotWoke999 @SandyofSuffolk Did people deliberately stay part time and get U credit in 1948? I am fairly sure that is a newer problem, one that has changed? @Raji_James I have worked between 45 and 87 hours a week for 40 years. I worked over 28 hours a week at 16 whilst also attending full time college.

@AwakeNotWoke999 @SandyofSuffolk NI contributions have always paid for pensions, and still do. The pensioners now are paid by the NI contributions of current contributors. Same as it's always been since it started. Nothing has changed with regards the system or where the money goes.
