Decided to jump into #BuildInPublic. Learning Swift to ship my first iOS app and trying to make some web apps on the side. Just here to document the process, the wins, and the inevitable breakdowns.

I'm comitting to a 30 day strike of building in public. Started a small PoC today for a new project related to planes. It was built with the help of Claude and I can see some potential. So far I only used pure WebGL2, but for the real thing might use Three.js or CesiumJS

✨ I often get messages from Subscription Day users saying they love the app’s design, but hate the icon. What most people don’t know is that the icon is inspired by an airplane engine turbine and also reflects the annual timeline inside the app, making it different from the usual arrows or wallet icons. What do you think about this new concept? Should I replace the current icon or keep the original?

@pcshipp I really don't get the hype with the weekly plans. What am I missing here? Is it like a way to leverage people into buying the yearly plan? Pretty soon we will see daily plans becoming popular

I researched 20+ app paywalls. 99% of them look almost identical. But one app stood out. Their pricing strategy is a little different, and they're making 4x more revenue than the others. They don't offer a monthly plan. Weekly: $12 with a 7-day free trial Yearly: $59 with no trial It's a paywall designed around psychology. If users choose the weekly plan, they end up paying much more over time. If they choose the yearly plan, the app gets the money upfront and let's be honest, most people won't use the app for an entire year. They'll probably use it for 20–30 days. What do you think about this strategy?

You don’t need a viral tweet to grow on X. I started taking X seriously on June 29. Since then: +800 followers 438K+ impressions new customers new builder friends Most of it came from consistent replies and simple posts not viral threads. The boring strategy worked.
