@dbeshada1 Iowa had 7 AAs this past year, you probably think half of them were transfers huh? Nope, only 1 was a transfer (Caliendo) who clearly improved during his 3 years at Iowa. How is it “sad” that they are using their resources to get 2 transfers

@MatSavant It’s not rocket science, Forrest finished 5th at the SR world championships, Blaze has dominated ncaa champions in freestyle as well yet Davino and Seidel both beat him this weekend, those top 4 freshmen might beat every other 133 ncaa champ from the past 10 years

Is it a sign of strength or weakness that a weight class got completely overrun by 4 freshmen?
Normally, I’d say it’s weakness. For example, there’s no way I can imagine 4 freshmen coming in and all 4 being better than Mitch/Mikey, or Brock/Jesse.
1 freshman? Sure. 2? Maybe. But 4?
I’m kind of torn. 133 is the most exciting weight, but I’m not convinced it was the best when 4 freshmen can just come in and take over.
With that said, those 4 guys are crazy talented no matter how you spin it.

The refs consistently let PSU get away with things that they hammer the rest of the country for. Rocco Welsh needed a restart and clearly steps off the mat on purpose to stop the clock. This would be called stalling for anyone else in the country, but not for Cael’s boys at Penn State.
