OK peeps, I'm looking for some advice/tips🤔I wrote a novel a while ago but I'm still unsure of my the next step? I've had 2 rejections. I believe in it but think I need to place it right... Should I self-pub, start a blog & put teasers out, keep trying publishers/comps?

I suspect lots of us are bringing this sort of experience to our response to all this. The gap between how seriously many people have taken the accounts of much smaller things with of much more limited interest and the way the SNP leadership behaved is doing our heads in./

@LucyHunterB When I did accounts for a primary school those responsbile for signing them off took three days to make sure that not a single penny was misplaced. What happened here?

@msjlindsay Aye, I get that, but unfortunately far too many people associate the SNP(& esp, the current charlatan SNP)as being THE YES movement, including far too many IN the current SNP... I want a 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿that listens to it's people, not keep things from them, or lie to them...

@DreyfusJames This was covered adequately in 'the life of Brian.' 'You can't have children Stan where you gonna keep the fetus, in a box...' 😂😎 As some others have said you can see the fear in her eyes & the reality in her voice as if she's thinking, 'oh fuck I've been rumbled.'

SNP members are getting a dose of what the rest of us have been feeling since 2014. The SNP is not the YES movement & the con artists under NS,etc, are the problem not those of us committed as ever to 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿Indy! I urge SNP members to reset your party &weed out the charlatans!
Wings Over Scotland@WingsScotland

The SNP is already trying to push the line "It wasn't us, we didn't know anything about it, and actually we're the real victims", but only the very dimmest of the dim will buy what they're selling. wingsoverscotland.com/no-money-back-…

@WingsScotland Does that include the cash that PM got for poor wee Ross Greer who complained that as a 'Indyref campaigner' he was on appallingly low wages & Peter got him some decent cash.... Despite the fact the rest of us were campaigning freely or even donating our own money..🙄

@DreyfusJames From what I've seen on youtube Chubby's shows are very inclusive... He call's everyone a c*nt...🤪 I've had enough of hearing that something's 'inclusive,' or, 'a safe space,' fuck that... Any comedian that challenges that will get my vote from now on 😎😂

Since when has it become a theatre’s job to prioritise “inclusion, wellbeing & community cohesion” over freedom of expression in the Arts? It’s supposed to be a theatre. Not a f**king community crèche ‘hub’. It’s places like this that are strangling the Arts to death.
The Free Speech Union@SpeechUnion

A Devon theatre has cancelled Roy “Chubby” Brown’s performance over “inclusion” concerns. Exmouth Pavillion informed the comedian that it had cancelled his performance — part of his “No Offence Meant” tour — as the show “no longer aligns with the organisations long-term strategic direction”. The theatre said that it wants to promote “inclusion, wellbeing and community cohesion”. The 81-year-old comedian has been banned from performing several times before and has been accused of racism. This is despite the posters advertising his performance warning “those easily offended stay away”, discouraging those under the age of 18 from attending and saying “This is an adult comedy and not intended to offend”. Following the decision, the comedian made a statement via social media: “Unfortunately, the Exmouth Pavilion’s new management informed us late Friday night by email that they would be cancelling Roy’s planned performance. “To cut the email short, the explanation on the email was, and I quote one sentence, ‘This show no longer aligns with the organisation’s long-term strategic direction’. “Make of that what you will and I think you can guess what my opinion is, but let’s not go over old ground again. “One thing I will just say, and this is totally my opinion, and you may or may not agree, but as an individual, you have a personal right to decide for yourself. “Wouldn’t the sensible thing, if the new management has an issue for any reason with the Chubby show, have been to honour the contracted booking and let the show go ahead?” He went on to add: “cancelling a show three-and-a-half months before the actual date when fans have bought tickets and probably made travel plans” was “totally the wrong decision”. “I have since talked to one of the theatre management to try and make sense of the situation and, although obvious to say we see it totally differently would be an understatement, sadly the decision will not be reversed”. A counter statement from a spokesperson for LED Community Leisure — which runs the Pavillion — said: “As a public community venue, Exmouth Pavilion exists to promote culture, the arts and freedom of expression. “We recognise that this decision will have caused disappointment and inconvenience for some, and we are sorry for that. “As a charitable operator of public spaces, LED’s role is to carefully balance artistic freedom with our responsibility to promote inclusion, wellbeing and community cohesion.” If the Pavillion really did exist to promote freedom of expression, it wouldn’t cancel performances due to the fact it may offend people. Spot on. For a start that game should have been at Tynecastle, as the Jambo's were top at the split. Of course, it's not the first time anything like that's happened. I remember a game raging on while people were on the pitch, never replayed, never awarded to the other team😎⚽️🇩🇪
Wings Over Scotland@WingsScotland

Jesus, the absolute pish Celtic fans are coming up with to try to justify this. Tell you what, lads, how about you exercise some self-control, stay off the fucking pitch at least until the whistle goes, and avoid all the fuss? wingsoverscotland.com/the-land-of-no…

@WingsScotland The greater point is why would someone with a tenuous, at best, link to his 'new,' country think he's in a position to lord it over the locals & decide how they should live their lives.. This applies also to such as Kate Nevers🤪 They're charlatans & or, very cynically driven..

Dr Manivannan - The furore around the election of Dr Manivannan to the Scottish Parliament is deeply troubling. There is no argument whatsoever that they were eligible to stand for election. The law was changed specifically in order for those on temporary craigmurray.org.uk/archives/2026/…
