The moment that analysis is complete, the full research dataset (sequence, scores, metadata, AI suggestions) is uploaded to the Arweave blockweave. The resulting Arweave TxID gets stored on-chain and displayed directly on the annotate page as a verified "Archived on Arweave" badge. Community Annotations, Archived Forever We're also archiving community annotations. Every confirm, challenge, extend, and tag annotation submitted by the PEPTOMA community will have its own Arweave record creating a permanent, tamper-proof audit trail of peer review. Combined with our existing IPFS provenance layer and Solana IP-NFT registry, this gives every peptide discovery a three-layer immutability stack: IPFS + Arweave + Solana. The Vision: Open Science That Lasts 100 Years The end goal: a fully open, permanent scientific archive where any peptide discovery made on PEPTOMA is accessible to researchers 100 years from now uncensorable, unalterable, and owned by the community. Every cancer drug you prescribe today was once an NIH grant nobody noticed. Pharma celebrates launches. Few notice the 20–40 year runway behind that. Gleevec took 41 years from NIH-funded discovery of the Philadelphia chromosome → FDA approval. Behind every “breakthrough” sits a graveyard of failed attempts that made it possible.
