Not so much a fess but a search for hope. My 16 daughter was delightful and kind until about 2 years ago, but has become lazy, rude, self-entitled and a stranger to honesty. Tell me it gets better. Please! I need hope and want the old version back.

@jk_rowling Just been informed in a training session that those at risk of Female Genital Mutilation are "non-male". It literally has Female in the description. I challenged this and was told their gender may be unknown and it was quicker to say non-male.

Man: no definition needed. Non-man (formerly known as woman): a being definable only by reference to the male. An absence, a vacuum where there's no man-ness.
