I add my name to the London Initiative , a letter directed to Israel’s President Herzog, calling for action against “Jewish extremist terror in the West Bank” ! Israel cannot afford such behavior to go on without it being punished. The coalition government has been too tolerant of such behavior. It hurts Israel and the Jewish people. Also ,this weeks interference with Catholic prayer in Jerusalem ,was unacceptable !

It is outrageous that so many prominent democrats are distancing themselves from and demonizing AIPAC.AIPAC is part of an established and respected American tradition of lobbying and it is being portrayed as un-American and immoral -as if the money is coming from the KKK! Politicians who are opposed to NRA , don’t take money from the NRA but do not proclaim “ I will not take money from NRA….” What’s next , I will not take money from Jews? Time to stop this demonization of AIPAC!!!

Israel is much safer today than it was before the war: Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile capabilities were rolled back by years, and for the coming years they no longer pose an existential threat to Israel. If the 15 points that were leaked do in fact become the plan for ending the war, then on the nuclear issue, on the proxies, and also on the ballistic missiles, we are in a very good place. But we are not there yet: it is still unclear whether Iran will accept these terms - or whether there is a real partner for negotiations on their behalf. The war should not end without ensuring that Iran can no longer use the Strait of Hormuz as a tool to hold the Gulf states hostage and threaten the global economy. If regime change ever comes, it will not come from American or Israeli boots on the ground, but from the brave people of Iran. It was a pleasure to join my friend @jimsciutto on @CNN yesterday. Special place in hell for Jews who hate other Jews so much they’d go on an antisemite’s platform to claim that war in Iran is “religious.” Fact: Burg lost a leadership election 25 years ago and joined the Arab Communist party in Israel to try and stay relevant. Google it.

This is a very dangerous moment for the American Jewish community. An epidemic cutting across the right and the left , reinforcing and distributing the classic antisemitic canard of Jewish power and control.Blaming Israel ( PM Netanyahu) and the American Jewish community (AIPAC) of dragging America into a war with Iran.Shades of the antisemitic charges that Jews pushed America into WWII. It is imperative that from the President down these dangerous antisemitic conspiracy theories be challenged, countered and exposed immediately!

Hezbollah's decision to drag Lebanon into war with Israel is an opportunity not only to "finish the job" against Hezbollah, but also to widen the wedge between Beirut and Tehran and uproot Iran’s footprint in Lebanon. Too little, too late, Lebanon's leaders have issued unusually tough statements in recent days against Hezbollah - including declaring IRGC activity illegal in Lebanon. It is time for the Government of Lebanon to acknowledge the consequences of its prolonged foot-dragging vis-à-vis Hezbollah: if it cannot disarm Hezbollah by force, it must act politically and legally -turning declarations into real measures against Hezbollah and the IRGC in Lebanon; freeing the state from the terrorist organization that hijacked it and drove it toward collapse; and calling to end the state of hostility with Israel. In the near term, Israel will act militarily to further degrade Hezbollah - but in the long term, if Beirut shows political will and acts decisively, this is an opportunity to reshape the northern security reality.

I spent sixteen years in government. In the Florida State Senate, we became the first state in America to stand up to Iran’s brutal regime by cutting off state investments in companies helping Iran develop nuclear weapons. How did we get everyone onboard? Because Iranian-made IEDs were killing our brave soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. Democrats and Republicans spoke with one voice when the legislation passed unanimously. In Congress, it was the same. We passed sanctions - together - to pressure Iran to abandon its nuclear weapons program. We overwhelmingly condemned the regime’s repression of women, its persecution of the Baha’i and other minorities, its repeated violation of the human rights of its citizens, and its support for terrorism around the world. Again and again, Republicans and Democrats stood side by side calling out the regime, its terrorist IRGC, and the proxy terror groups it funded at the expense of its own people. Together, we remembered the victims, from our Marine Barracks in Beirut to our personnel in Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia; from Buenos Aires to Burgas, and the hundreds of brave American soldiers killed by Iran-backed militias and weaponry. So many Americans killed. So many innocent civilians murdered. All by this radically dangerous regime. We held hearings about these threats over and over again. But it was never just about the extent of the horrors spread by Iran. It was also personal. I represented Bob Levinson, the longest-held American hostage in history. I came to know his family as they fought tirelessly to bring Bob home from Iran, inspiring everyone who met them. Administrations of both parties tried. None succeeded. Over 4,700 days. As their Member of Congress, I desperately wanted to welcome Bob home. But he died in Iranian captivity. Throughout my sixteen years in office, there were always colleagues on my right and my left who stood together to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons because we understood what this regime was capable of. Kidnapping. Murder. Terror. Today we live in a time of intense partisanship. That’s the environment in which this war is happening. But any time an American President makes the sobering decision to use force, it is appropriate and necessary for Congress to exercise its oversight. I certainly did so during Republican and Democratic administrations. Even as this debate plays out, we all need to acknowledge the history of this dangerous Iranian regime and its threat to the world. The Supreme Leader and his forces have brought suffering to their own people, chaos to the region, and violence to the world. The blood of American soldiers and innocent civilians from across the globe is on their hands. The blood of the tens of thousands protesters they recently slaughtered is not even dry. So let’s pause for a moment to stand together - To acknowledge that the world is safer without the Ayatollah’s terror. To stand with the Iranian people in their pursuit of freedom. To support the brave Americans serving in harm’s way. For all of our political disagreements, we all share a stake in the success of this moment and this war. That’s what I’m hoping and praying for. God bless America.

Operation “Roar of the Lion” / “Epic Fury” — Day One Assessment Today’s developments mark a potential watershed in American strategic practice: a deliberately coordinated campaign between the U.S. and another state, conducted outside a formal treaty alliance or multinational coalition. The operation signals a strategic inflection point, repositioning Israel as a preferred U.S. security partner - willing and capable of sharing operational risk and defense burdens alongside Washington. It is essential to emphasize that Israel did not initiate this conflict. The crisis escalated amid widespread internal unrest in Iran, as citizens rose against a regime responsible for the massacre of over 30,000 of its own people. President Trump’s commitment to support the Iranian people shaped the trajectory leading to coordinated action. Through a precise intelligence–military campaign, Ayatollah Khamenei - the regime’s long-standing leader who for decades called for “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” - was eliminated, along with other senior figures. This war is not against the Iranian people, but against a violent, extremist regime that has brutalized its own citizens and caused the deaths of numerous American and Israeli civilians. Its dismantlement safeguards the vital interests of both nations and the broader Western world, and addresses a longstanding threat to regional and global stability. Sustained, multidimensional U.S.–Israel coordination is imperative. Once military objectives are achieved, operational momentum should be converted into diplomatic capital, advancing a strengthened, institutionalized security framework that anchors a durable, long-term strategic partnership.
