@MattMcCarthy985 Gift? You're Red Sox deranged. From when I was a kid old enough to LOVE sports 92/93ish the Sox have only really been an extreme embarrassment a few times. Now might be one of the worst and for you it's a "gift" ? What are you even talking about? They SUUUCK 🤦🏻‍♂️

As bad as the Red Sox have been this year, it’s crazy to think about how even worse they’d be had they not received the Gray and Contreras donations from the Chaim Bloom Charitable Foundation. Chaim just has no interest in keeping solid big leaguers. What a gift.

@franchyformvp @TheBrattPack63 True, but if you're actually watching the game with sound (pucks hitting sticks are satisfyingly loud) it's really not hard to lose track of it unless the hard cam does (I have seen this happen too)

I legitimately never understood when people tell me “I can’t watch hockey because I can never see the puck or tell where it is” It’s a black disc on white ice, and the tv camera is pretty much always following it. I’ve literally never had trouble with that ?
Rob Perez@WorldWideWob

I enjoy watching hockey, but this sport will never gain the mainstream popularity it so desperately desires when people watching on TV cant see/tell when the teams score.

The sabres will bring in $270,000 tonight from beer Sabres alone. They probably have $3 into each one and .50 into each beer. So a nice tidy product margin to, I dunno, pay a jersey fine with.

@D1SCHER Was there a reason to pass on Hernandez or was it Angels just doing Angels things?

Just remember: the angels passed on Seth Hernandez (mlb pipelines no. 3 prospect in the sport and a local Corona High School Kid) just so they could save some money for their draft board

@TheBrattPack63 Dudes have no problem with a white golf/baseball in the sky but a black puck on white ice is just pure blinders to them

Royce Lewis is having a down year (51 OPS+) and is a free agent in 2029. Jarren Duran is having a down year (57 OPS+) and is a free agent in 2029. Would you do a 1-1 swap as a change of scenery case for both players?

With RISP this year: Happ - 8-50 (.160), 24 Ks Suzuki - 5-40 (.125), 20 Ks This is what you’re putting out there as your 3/4 or 4/5 hitters every day. Almost a 50% K rate with RISP. Some don’t believe lineups matter, but sorry, THIS matters. #Cubs

NL Central players do not belong on the New York Yankees. We need a full ban on signing them or trading for them.

@JakeWally The luxury tax hit is based on the AAV, not what they’re actually being paid. That’s why they’re a top 10 team in terms of CBT, while having like the 18th highest payroll this year. Definitely makes it more likely he gets traded before then since Henry is cheap af

@franchyformvp @EdHand89 Fair. I’m no expert, but when I watch Early I see a guy who relies on command, pitch mix and baseball IQ. I see a guy who can be a reliable 2/3 for a decade. I usually prefer guys like that over ones who seem to be more reliant on strength and athleticism. Just me though

The floor for Tolle, as I recall it, was that he'd end up a closer if he couldn't develop any other useful pitches beyond his fastball. Keep in mind, he had been a two-way player initially in college. Pitching as his primary focus was fairly new. That's how good the fastball is. Impressive how quickly he's been able to build up the repertoire.
Stats@redsoxstats

@MasatakaEnjoyer No one important ever thought of him as a "he had an absolute ceiling of a 4." Every baseball person has had him ace with work to do since the day he returned to Florida 2 winters ago.

You have a Game 7 in a major sport, the only Game 7 of the day, and you put your product on Amazon Prime. Great marketing, NBA.
