@StuartHumphryes This is just beautiful. Dear little girl, so clearly adored with her lovely clothes and toys, and the cushion behind her back- I find this one especially touching.

A little girl photographed over a century ago, caught during the golden hour, playing with her toys on the balcony. This anonymous autochrome was taken around 1910-1915 and captures the beginning of a beautiful young life long gone.

@drtoriaredfern Thankfully no and they wouldn’t be sitting on my sofa if so. Although I am sometimes having to clean up at work after certain people have done this deliberately for ‘ceremonial’ or ‘spiritual’ reasons 😬

@drtoriaredfern Oh it really is. Especially the dead trees on the beach, googling ‘Benacre beach tree’ will get you loads of amazing images. The church at Covehithe is pretty interesting too. I’ll crop the maps and send them tomorrow x

@drtoriaredfern I mentioned looking at this in the morning and he was straight on it, using the Lat and Long. Obviously it was a way out to sea but I know exactly where the coastline facing it is, not massively easy to get to tbh but do-able if you don’t mind a walk.

@drtoriaredfern I only wear boots and trekking sandals, depending on the season. Couple of pairs of flat Mary Janes for ‘best’ but I don’t actually wear them.

@drtoriaredfern So much plastic in those heavy cleated soles, and those mules with weird puffy uppers. Not very eco, they will be binned in a few months. Even an otherwise nice ankle boot in M&S had them.

@groovicat @fyrecracker1 @HansonsAuctions Yes to the ring holder, but the pot with hole is a hair tidy- to store fallen hair from brushing and use to pad out ‘up’ styles!
