J’ai lu de grosses bêtises dans les commentaires. Non l’escrime n’est pas un « sport de bourges »! En quoi? Stop aux clichés. Le club « Escrime Paris Nord » permet à des centaines d’enfants de tous milieux de pratiquer cette activité extrêmement exigeante et intéressante. Ce club est formidable, notamment grâce à l’investissement de son entraîneur, le grand champion Laurent Bel, qui a fait énormément de sacrifices personnels pour faire vivre cette structure. IL FAUT SAUVER « ESCRIME PARIS NORD ».

A Paris dans le 18eme arrondissement, le club « Escrime Paris Nord » est à deux doigts de déposer le bilan, en raison de loyers trop élevés. Ce serait dramatique car ce club essentiel mené de main de maître par le champion Laurent Bel (médaillé aux championnats du monde, représentant français aux JO) engrange d’excellents résultats. Je demande dès à présent à la RIVP de baisser les loyers exorbitants, et je demanderai à la future équipe municipale d’aider ce club qui doit absolument survivre.

If you do #design work, you're probably making at least half of these mistakes. I still catch myself doing some of them in the rush. Here are my two cents after 13 years of running a studio: • Don't centre a title. • The client is not the designer. Don't transpose their content structure 1:1 into your layout. Their deck is not your wireframe. • If your design works without colour, it's solid. Colour is seasoning, not structure. • Name your proposals. Kill [prop1, Prop2, Prop3. final .pdf]. Use names that carry intent: "Cherry Blossom," "Iron," "Premium." It frames the conversation before the client even opens the file. • Annotate your drafts with your reasoning. Never send a proposal hoping the client will just "get it." They won't. And that's on you, not them. • White space is not empty space. It's what gives weight to what you chose to show. • Hierarchy is not decoration. If you can't explain why A is bigger than B, your layout is weak. • Beyond your deliverable, always propose a version that reflects your own vision, even if it won't be chosen. That's how you stay a designer and not just a pair of hands. • Start a brand guideline by testing its margins. Find where it bends, where there's room to push: that's where your creative freedom lives. • Don't open your software right away. Sketch your composition on a piece of paper first. Even a tissue. The best layouts I've shipped started ugly. Rushing is not an excuse. These hold up precisely when everything else falls apart.

L’IA peut générer 50 variantes d’une landing page en 3 minutes. Savoir LAQUELLE va convertir en 3 secondes de scan, ça l’IA peut pas. Quand tout le monde peut produire du contenu en masse, la compétence rare c’est plus la PRODUCTION. C’est l’ÉVALUATION. Le goût, le jugement esthétique et fonctionnel.. c’est le dernier moat humain. Et la plupart des builders l’ignorent COMPLÈTEMENT. Ils optimisent leur stack, leur workflow, leur prompt. Mais le filtre final, celui qui sépare un produit “bof” d’un produit que les gens SENTENT comme excellent, ils l’ont jamais entraîné. Le chiffre : sur l’App Store, les apps avec un design perçu comme “premium” convertissent 3.2x mieux que les apps fonctionnellement identiques mais esthétiquement moyennes. Même features. Même prix. Le goût fait la différence sur le taux de conversion. C’est pas un talent mystérieux. C’est un système de reconnaissance de patterns. Et comme tout système: ça s’ENTRAÎNE. Le problème: la plupart des gens entraînent leur cerveau sur du contenu low-effort. Du scroll random. Du slop. Résultat : leur “algorithme interne” est calibré sur de la merde. Et ils produisent… de la merde.

“Look Ma! I’m making moar vidya games in Rive and Unreal!” This is a Rive file dropped in to Unreal Engine that uses scripting for all the game logic. I’m hooking in to view model properties via Unreal blueprints to control everything. Pretty slick.

Long Medley not x-friendly of my 3D experiments in @rive_app . I discovered Luau, a language inherited from Lua (cheers Brazil), and honestly I didn’t think Rive would be this permissive. Physics, particles, animations, interactions, sure. But implementing 3D assets through scripting inside a 2D engine? That’s where it gets wild. As @motionbynick said, Rive is inevitable. More than ever. Let me be direct: Comment / share for the algorithm and above all if you want motion designers and devs to catch this wave.

@m4zas24 @rive_app Indeed. However I think importing these assets made using a 3D software seems a safety choice to not clutter the UI :)
