I’m deeply concerned that last week’s airstrikes in Yemen happened without parliamentary scrutiny. The risk of escalation shouldn't be taken lightly. When I raised this in Parliament, Rishi Sunak responded that “it was not bombing Yemen". Where did we bomb then?

The Prime Minister said that the attacks on Houthis were to protect maritime rights so I asked him what effective action he had taken to protect the right to life of Palestinian children & halt the indiscriminate killing of children by the Israeli Defence Force. No real answer.

I strongly condemn the Houthi attacks that are targeting commercial ships of all nationalities. The UK's response was proportionate and necessary. Labour will always stay resolute in the face of aggression which threatens global security.

@SayeedaWarsi @Nevererdofher It seems to me that Israel or doing whatever they can to degrade Hamas as so to prevent Hamas and the other terrorist groups operating in the Gaza strip from carrying out another October the 7th attack.

The failure of the world to stop the killing in Gaza has triggered an escalation in the region that did not need to happen. Our misplaced and misjudged support for an Israeli government made up of corrupt , self confessed facists, convicted terrorists and now before the ICJ on charges of genocide is a grave error. This was the moment we needed to show leadership and stand up to Netanyahu his genocidal rhetoric and his extremist supporters. Our support for Netanyahu is against British interests-it has damaged our reputation , opened us up to accusations of hypocrisy, now put our armed forces at risk and the UK a target. We will look back at this and be ashamed of how we stood by as a genocide unfolded before our eyes in real time and a regional conflict escalates because we lacked the moral courage to say stop the killing #CeasefireNow
