It’s a drone. Chasing another drone. Into actual clouds. And it works. The Ukrainians have built a flying angry wasp that hunts Iranian Shaheds for roughly the price of a second-hand lawnmower. Ukraine would share this. They’d teach it. They’d probably fly the damn things themselves to protect American soldiers in the Middle East. But Trump won’t ask. Because the man who could save American lives happens to be Volodymyr Zelensky. And that, apparently, is a dealbreaker. So the Shaheds fly. Unmolested. Toward Americans. Own goal. Absolutely spectacular own goal. Gandalv / @Microinteracti1

The secret plan is out! Two great articles today about our plan to capture a small asteroid and bring it into Earth orbit. The concept is part of our New Moon mission, which explores relocating a small near-Earth asteroid into a controlled orbit as the first step toward building industrial infrastructure in space. Our team has been developing the key technologies for this approach for years, including capture mechanisms to constrain and move small asteroids and orbital debris. Accessing materials already in space could eventually enable a new generation of industries beyond Earth. If you're interested in the future of space resources, these articles are worth a read. hashtag#space hashtag#asteroidmining hashtag#spacetechnology hashtag#spacex hashtag#venture

Just one example of the kind of treatment female leaders in the defence space experience regularly. I’m not fussed — after a long career in uniform and now in public commentary, I’ve heard much worse, often from people far more influential than the mysterious “John Wayne” and his 16 followers. But worth highlighting this level of abuse & mysogyny remains a par for the course.

The Feb. 28 strike on the elementary school was the result of a targeting mistake by the U.S., preliminary inquiry says: “U.S. Central Command created the target coordinates for the strike using outdated data provided by the Defense Intelligence Agency.” nytimes.com/2026/03/11/us/…

According to CBS News, USS Charlotte, a Los Angeles-class submarine, was the vessel involved in this incident. CBS says, citing multiple U.S. officials, two Mk 48 torpedoes were fired, one missed, the second one hit and sunk the IRIS Dena which was off the coast of Sri Lanka.

Earlier, Pete Hegseth, Secretary of War, confirmed the U.S. successfully took out an Iranian ship with a submarine launched torpedo. Hegseth said the Iranian ship was trying to hide in the Indian Ocean. 1st ship sank by U.S. with a torpedo since WW2.

Honestly, I’m genuinely stunned by the sheer amorality and the complete absence of even a drop of conscience. And the most astonishing part is the sheer pointlessness of this demonstrative repetitive disgrace. The total pointlessness of this absurd lies and smearing of Ukraine -- for absolutely nothing.

White House: Unfortunately, we had a very stupid and incompetent leader in this White House for four years who gave away many of our best weapons for free to another country very far away by the name of Ukraine. Trump was pointing out that was an unwise decision.

So... it seems the Google AI saw this #blizzard 4-5 days ahead of time. Anyone with access would have had a better clue as to what was about to unfold. Can't wait for it to become public!

Dwarkesh asks Dario a fantastic question relating to how he is so bullish on AGI yet so conservative on data center build out - Dario has an amazing take on this: Dario Amodei details the staggering financial risk of the AI race, explaining that if growth continues at 10x a year, a company could be looking at a $1 trillion revenue run rate by the end of 2027. He notes that to support this, a firm might buy $5 trillion worth of compute. However, he highlights a "ruinous" dilemma: if that revenue is even slightly lower than projected. specifically if it comes in at $800 billion instead of $1 trillion the company would collapse. He explains that if you are off by just a year or if the growth rate drops to 5x, "there's no force on earth, there's no hedge on earth, that could stop me from going bankrupt" after committing to that level of spend. Because of this, Amodei argues that "behaving responsibly" means not just "yoloing" hundreds of billions of dollars. He suggests that some competitors may not have "written down the spreadsheet" and don't fully grasp the existential risks they are taking with these massive, unhedged bets on infrastructure.
