@CodeRed_dev The more realistic version is that your programmer friend says they want to make a game and conscripts you for art and writing, and by the time you have a plot outline and are starting on concept art, they say they never approached you and don't have time to do anything but work.

the conversation that he was “just” cheating and that the women he was hitting up were stupid for believing someone who was reciprocating to them in that way was indeed playing with their hearts like that kinda makes me inclined to think that yall just havent gone thru something similar yourselves. i got a lot of sympathy for anyone who’s been played with their emotions like that, its the worst feeling in the world and should be scrutinized especially if theyre a large public figure like that. not gonna defend a man who cant keep his dick in his pants while he’s already taken

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but if your insurance won’t cover something because they found it not medically necessary, you can work with the prescribing doctor to contest it. Sucks that it’s necessary, but it is.

@TheBoysOOCC A-Train laughing in Homelander's face as he's literally beating him to death was the best moment of this season so far.
English

Jessie T Usher revealed Antony Starr was the one to implement A-Train laughing at him in his final scene. #TheBoys
“It was actually Antony’s idea…I’m looking at Homelander and he’s just huffing and puffing really angry. And i’m looking around at the crew and i just go “(laughs)” and then i see him get infuriated in character.”

@Stormi_luv If my tummy hurt 10% less (in recovery from a surgery rn) and if my savings to pay off my last bit of debt weren't about to be cut in half to pay medical bills ):

@Ravenger___ Product visibility is always the goal. You cannot convert sales if your audience doesn't exist. The people who see ads as an automatic blacklist are the minority and would have likely never bought the product to begin with.
You fight with heart, they fight with statistics.
English

I haven't heard of anyone buying a product from an ad in 15 years, in fact I constantly hear how it makes people hate companies and avoid their products. What purpose do ads serve now
両刀使い ・ Ryou ☭ (TRANSLATION COMMS OPEN•フリー翻訳者)@gloopbastard
does forcing people to watch ads actually increase sales like at all or is it just companies throwing money for the sadistic enjoyment of making your day just a little bit worse

This is not men getting drafted into war btw!!
Men in America are legally required to register for the draft 30 days after they turn 18 and that’s been something they have to do manually since the 40s, and if they don’t they can get federally penalized. This just automates the process. Its actually kind of a good thing because not registering can affect access to federal programs and student loans and stuff.

JUST IN: 🇺🇸 Eligible males aged 18-25 will be automatically registered for US military draft starting December, 2026.
English

@lanabeesfw Yep I had to do it at 18. I think it's just not something people really discuss anymore so combined with wartime stuff, it's really jarring for most folks to see.
English

@Pies_of_Lee We don't have a right to exist by the laws of the universe, but because we are humans and we are fucking crazy, we created social systems and medicine to make it possible. That's a human right. Not one single pe son ever said this happens without the work of another person.
English

this sounds profound until you think about it for 2 seconds and realise that everything we do requires the labour of others, even being born

@VladarkDev @Mericamemed Years ago I was really hoping for a good way to embed data on .STL's to preserve file authorship for digital resale (Etsy is a wasteland and this would help combat it). Now I'm thankful STL files are so impossible to stamp with permanent non-geometry data in an effective way.
English

@Mericamemed I heard they're going to build a database of known 3D gun files and check the hash of what you're printing against the database.
It would slow down normal prints because everything will need to be checked and wouldn't catch most because a tiny change changes the hash.
English

@Mericamemed My state is trying to do this. I have been a 3D printing enthusiast for just over a decade and sent a letter of opposition to my representatives to make my voice heard. The whole bill is written with clear tone and verbiage indicating they have no idea what is possible.

@Cipher_Zero32 @RacconSurvivor Yep spot on. They are real tech that was used for a while but are less favored now since other options give you more firing support. These off center torch holds are from the same era where revolvers were being phased out of std issue for federal agents, so lots of experimenting.

English

@frimblebop @RacconSurvivor I remember reading that holding your flashlight away like this (maybe not vertically but horizontally) from your body is actually a legit technique. Your enemy will shoot at the source of light and by holding it away you increase your chances of not getting shot in the dark.
English

When it comes to “flashlight techniques”, RE9 used the “Rogers tech”, which is developed by FBI agent “Bill Rogers”, as a nice detail to highlight the FBI and Grace's presence in the game and not use the “Harries” which was seen on other titles/films, like RE4R & DI. #REBHFun

English

@PunishedUsurper @Katsuragi_____ @RacconSurvivor Honestly all I've ever heard it referred to is "the FBI technique" (even in LE-lead training events), but I'm sure it's named after someone like the others are.
English

@Katsuragi_____ @frimblebop @RacconSurvivor Yeah she did. Idk what the method is technically called tho
