For the past 10 years, I’ve felt Canada changing in ways that have made it harder and harder to recognize the country I once loved. This isn’t new for me...it’s been building over time, and because of this, my sense of pride has faded. I’m not against change, but I do believe a country needs to hold onto what made it strong and beautiful. That’s why I take independence and separation seriously, not out of anger, but to preserve something that is slipping away.

Funny how the left keeps calling Pierre Poilievre a fascist when he is the one arguing for less state control, lower taxes, freer speech, and fewer bureaucrats perched on everyone’s shoulders. That is not fascism. That is a smaller-government argument they happen to hate. They use “fascist” now the way a lazy mechanic uses duct tape. Everything gets the same fix, even when it clearly does not fit. If anyone in this argument is closer to that political instinct, it is Mark Carney by a country mile. Not because he is marching around in jackboots, obviously. Modern authoritarianism does not usually arrive in costume. It arrives in a suit, with polished talking points, expert panels, managed narratives, and a moral sermon about why ordinary people need less choice and more guidance from their betters. That is Carney’s lane: centralized control, elite management, technocratic pressure, and virtue-packaged coercion. The state grows, the citizen shrinks, and somehow you are supposed to call that progress. The modern left does not call people fascist because the label is accurate. They use it because it is emotionally useful. It saves them the trouble of arguing. Once they stick the label on Pierre Poilievre, they do not have to answer his points on taxes, housing, energy, inflation, censorship, or government bloat. They can just hiss “fascist” and hope the room stops thinking. It is not analysis. It is a panic button. The irony is almost funny. The people yelling loudest about fascism are often the same ones cheering speech controls, digital monitoring, compelled conformity, ideological gatekeeping, and permanent expert supervision of public life. They oppose decentralization. They distrust dissent. They prefer managed outcomes to free choices. Then they point at the guy saying, “Let people keep more of their money and make more of their own decisions,” and call him the authoritarian. That is not serious politics. That is projection with better branding. Words still matter. Fascism is not “someone I dislike with a sharp tone.” It is not a tax-cutting populist who talks about freedom too much for elite comfort. If you are going to use a word that heavy, at least have the decency to aim it in the right direction. Right now, the left is using it like confetti at a children’s party. I realize I’m repeating myself, but I am genuinely confused how an actual terrorist is granted a jail pass and permission to leave the country to go find himself a wife (lucky lady, no? 😳) and I had to explain to my 3 year old grandson this week why I can’t take him to the water park a block from our house until next summer. 🤷‍♀️

If the campaign donations are sitting in Marilyn Gladu’s personal possession after she crossed the floor to the Liberals, she should be forced to return them. The lack of any public audit or clear accounting raises serious questions about whether she treated those funds properly or simply kept them while switching parties. Full disclosure of every dollar taken in and where it is sitting today is the minimum that constituents in Sarnia Lambton Bkejwanong should demand from their member of parliament.

I don't think many of you actually know what this means...in Canada, and under Bill C-9, that is sitting in the hands of a Majority Liberal Senate. The immigrants coming to Canada these days are nothing like the immigrants who came here decades ago. Including my own family. Who contributed to Canada's military The ones coming here from India and the middle east have a much different intention Every other nationality that came to Canada, Italians, Greeks, Polish, Russian etc...all came here for a better life and contributed to building Canada. They assimilated and befriended different people outside their own culture. They worked hard and asked for nothing. The immigrants coming to Canada now have no respect for Canadians, or our values. They take from us. They don't give or contribute. They push their culture and religion on us and don't assimilate. They want to take over. They are not even close to the immigration standards we had before Liberals took office. There is no quality to the types of people coming here. We used to import strength and knowledge.
