Soil health as a driver of plant productivity. Our new paper in @NatureEcoEvo using data from >500 sites and 27 European countries shows that soil health is associated with higher primary productivity. see: nature.com/articles/s4155… Variables of soil fertility including total N content, pH, soil organic carbon and specific soil biodiversity indicators were identified as important drivers of the relationship between soil health and productivity. The relative importance of these variables depended on land-use type. Lead by @fromeroblanch .
