A few new faces around here so let me reintroduce myself! I’m Ellie, I’m a @Cambridge_Uni Mathematics Masters Graduate who loves sharing the beauty of mathematics and STEM. I started my career in the space industry as a Space Systems Optimisation Engineer and later an Astrodynamics Software Engineer. I then moved to Machine Learning and worked as an Engineer. And I’m starting a new chapter very soon which I can’t wait to share more details about 😉 Throughout that time I’ve been an avid mathematics and science communicator from the UK, sharing content online (i’m on all platforms). Not true, most countries implement socialism with some kind of state owned (only) businesses, subsidies or welfare solutions. When companies are not allowed to compete with the state and there are no alternatives, then there is a big problem. A government should only provide security and incentives. If there are less options available, you sit with centralisation. Centralisation, (mono- or one party or one government/business solution) creates an unnecesary dependency and a fragile solution. The only benefit it brings is control. This is why communism doesn't work, because all the solutions are centralised through the state. The state acts as the monopoly. This is also why monopolies cannot work, and monopolies can only exist due to laws creating competitive barriers and an environment where large companies can thrive. This is why lobbying is a thing. More options = more wealth and higher quality of life Socialist countries are just one step away from becoming communist countries

You'd need to explain how they coordinated that across 1,500 years and multiple empires — and convinced hostile Jewish communities to play along, since they were the ones preserving the Old Testament. The Septuagint was translated by Jewish scholars in 250 BC with zero interest in setting up Christianity. That conspiracy doesn't hold up. Spider-Man lines up because there's a coordinated team deliberately planting callbacks. That's exactly what the Bible doesn't have. You just proved my point for me lol. The Dead Sea Scrolls have Psalm 22 dated to 100 BC — found in 1947 in a cave, completely outside Christian influence. "Pierced my hands and feet" is right there, a century before Jesus. Can't blame the editors for that one.

One question I always ask Christians that I have never gotten any reasonable answer for is … If heaven involves perfect, unending happiness for the “saved”, how is it possible for them to experience that joy while retaining full knowledge of…and genuine love for…people they cared about who are were never saved and are suffering eternal torment in hell? Alternatively, if God erases or suppresses those memories to preserve heavenly bliss, does this not compromise the authenticity of the personal identity of the “saved …and the very notion of a perfectly loving and just deity who’s willing to erase people’s memory of their own loved one? These aren’t mundane questions.

I didn't say this is all beyond our understanding. I was responding to the comment that In heaven we will feel no sadness, that is incomprehensible because we are both currently here, on earth, with earthly feelings and emotions. The reason the bible is truth is because there's over 63,000 cross references understand how crazy that is?. Jesus fulfilled and continues to fulfil prophecies.
