Yep, Composer 2 started from an open-source base! We will do full pretraining in the future. Only ~1/4 of the compute spent on the final model came from the base, the rest is from our training. This is why evals are very different. And yes, we are following the license through our inference partner terms.
Fynn@fynnso

was messing with the OpenAI base URL in Cursor and caught this accounts/anysphere/models/kimi-k2p5-rl-0317-s515-fast so composer 2 is just Kimi K2.5 with RL at least rename the model ID

@wichmaennchen @nicdunz @AkiyoshiKitaoka @wichmaennchen wiggle your screen. The darker blue picture is processed slower than the white outlines giving it an delay. Looks funky. Tom Scott made a video about this effect. Not sure if this has anything to do with these spinning circles, I just see them 2D 🤷‍♂️

@nikolasbydesign @callebtc You're purposefully misunderstanding what I said (or at least hope you're purposefully doing it) in order to deny it. Designing good systems is not only UI or UX ... it includes backend data organization, good business logic concepts, etc.

I'm fascinated by this level of existential crisis developers seem to be going through. The uncomfortable truth is nobody needs you to be an artisan coder. Nobody cares about how you coded your app, or whether you feel an emotional attachment to your craft. You were always code monkey with a high enough salary to believe that your individualist craftsmanship matters to anyone. It doesn't matter to anyone but you. Not your employer, not your customer. Nobody cares about how you made the product. Nobody cares about your attachment to your process. You're experiencing the same as countless other artisans have experienced in the last century. I'm happy for you. You were starting to believe that you're a demigod amongst mortals. You're not. A machine is better than you. Now you're free.

Claude Code wiped our production database with a Terraform command. It took down the DataTalksClub course platform and 2.5 years of submissions: homework, projects, and leaderboards. Automated snapshots were gone too. In the newsletter, I wrote the full timeline + what I changed so this doesn't happen again. If you use Terraform (or let agents touch infra), this is a good story for you to read. alexeyondata.substack.com/p/how-i-droppe…

@lanreadelowo You need it because you can’t just dump content into the window, you have to know what to retrieve and what is relevant, and there’s also something called context rot, where too much information distracts the agent

I am very very very very concerned about the current state of developers When they think the average computer with 16 GB of RAM cannot open a 1.4 MB PHP file May AI save us all

@levelsio Genuine question, but isn't the file too heavy when you open it in your editor? I mean, even in terms of CPU usage?

@DadaBen_ Everything is a Claude Code conversation away for me. No need to seek specialized tools because it's getting exhausting trying to keep up Claude Code can do this via plugins (playwright for example). Just explain what you want to accomplish

Is there an AI agent that can walk through an app and map all the flows? Like: - authenticate - interact with all the UI. Click buttons etc - draw a flowchart per JTBD; flag happy path, fail states etc
