How many peaceful protesters are you okay with Iran killing, Glenn? My answer is zero. The Iranian government, which is profoundly evil, has definitely killed tens of thousands. The official number is difficult to determine because the people of Iran still don’t have the Internet
Glenn Greenwald@ggreenwald

@ClayTravis Yes, the US fights wars to free the oppressed peoples of the world and to bring them freedom and democracy. How do you decide when to claim that Iran killed 30,000 protesters, or 45,000, or 70,000? Does it depend on the day of the week or lyrical flow or something else?

@martyrmade @AuronMacintyre @firasmodad This should have become obvious once frauds of the co-opted area Party movement like Ted Cruz and Dan Bongino because some of the most prominent leaders of MAGA. Easier to say in hindsight tho of course.

The American people are already being invaded and having their nation stolen from them That's why it would be nice if we could wrap this war up as quickly as possible and focus on that, you know, the whole point of MAGA
Clash Report@clashreport

Tucker Carlson to Trump: You can’t invade countries to steal their stuff… that’s theft. If the new law is ‘I can take it because I want it,’ the tables will be turned. What we do will be done unto us.

@MLiamMcCollum @martyrmade @TuckerCarlson The primary thing that Darryl and Tucker were criticized for was Darryl referring to Churchill as the chief villain of the war, and downplaying the Holocaust in the eastern theater of Germany's war, and then Tucker calling Darryl the greatest living historian.

The rhetoric we are seeing from the White House today is the precise reason @martyrmade and @TuckerCarlson were attacked for discussing WWII. When Tucker called the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki evil, the subsequent outrage had nothing to do with concerns about “antisemitism” and everything to do with the fact that he was exposing a load-bearing myth that has justified modern warfare and the American empire.

@LegendaryEnergy The thing about Trump the politician is he spews so much BS it's easy to only hear the things you want and ignore when he's talking out the other side of his mouth.

I’m not saying you had to trust him or believe him. I’m just saying that it played a big factor in the election. Millions of leftists stayed home because they were disgusted with Biden’s foreign policy. Trump even won heavily Muslim districts. They wanted to roll the dice.

Whether they’ll admit it or not, part of why Trump won was because the Ukraine War started under Biden & Israel began demolishing Palestine under Biden, while he shamelessly funded both. Trump ran on ending the war & not starting a new one. Don’t let them gaslight you.

if the united states has 1) already destroyed iran’s military capabilities 2) has the ability to hit iran at any point if they try to gain access to their enriched uranium and 3) isn’t interested in (or has already achieved) regime change all of which president trump has said repeatedly what is the point of continuing the war? how can it be justified to the american people, never mind the rest of the world?

I really hope I'm wrong but it feels like Trump is on the verge of making one of the biggest blunders in history and the American people are in for a very sudden and rude awakening about what a fragile house of cards the American empire has become.

@newtgingrich The funny thing about this criticism of the war's critics is that it also applies perfectly to the president and his war plans.

Most of Trump’s war critics remind me of the comedian will rogers. Like rogers they have solutions that sound good but are guaranteed to fail: here is the Will Rogers solution”Somebody asked the American folk philosopher Will Rogers what we ought to do about it. He thought about it a moment and said, “Well, I think you should boil the ocean.” The man was incredulous. “Boil the ocean?” “Yes,” said Rogers. “I think if you heated up the Atlantic ocean, the submarines would rise to the surface and you could capture them.” “But how do you boil an ocean?” the man asked. Rogers responded, “I’ve given you the solution. It’s up to you to work out the details.” When you hear these clever well educated men offering impossible but clever sounding solutions remember will rogers.

“Israel moved the red line & forced the war.” Israel didn’t move anything. President Trump made the call. You continue to treat President Trump as a dupe - it’s both insulting and ignorant. “POTUS’s original red line was no nuclear weapon for Iran. The Supreme Leader agreed & held a prohibition on a nuclear weapon since 2004. The disagreement & debate was on enrichment levels & monitoring.” That fatwa was bullshit - taqiyya. Israel stole Iran’s nuclear archive that proved Iran was pursuing nuclear weapons. Also - if they were only interested in civilian enrichment, why the facilities hundreds of meters underground? Why did they claim to have 400kg of 60% enriched uranium? “The Israelis convinced POTUS that zero enrichment was the red line, the Iranians disagreed, we took out their enrichment capability w/ Op Midnight Hammer, making enrichment a dead issue.” It was only dead if Iran agreed to give it up. Instead they decided to rearm and then claim an “inalienable right to enrich.” Again - are you calling Witkoff a liar or not? Speak clearly! His account of negotiations is incompatible with yours - and he was the lead negotiator! “Iran was back at the negotiating table afterwards, this was a major threat to Israel’s goal of regime change, so they forced our hand & attacked Iran, knowing Iran would then attack us, plunging us into the war.” Again, this is fan-fiction that treats President Trump as a dupe.

@joekent16jan19 Bullshit, Joe. Steve Witkoff - the lead American negotiator - made clear the Iranians were intransigent and unwilling to make concessions. Are you calling him a liar?
