There is going to need to be a federal law putting a cap on how much you can gerrymander relative to partisan makeup of a state. Dems are probably winning Georgia in 2028. So a state voting over 50% for the Dem in a POTUS election having 80% Republican House reps just isn’t a tenable or healthy situation for a democracy.
Like imagine if Pennsylvania made an 80% Dem gerrymander map. That just isn’t a reasonable or sustainable way to function in a democracy where the House is supposed to be at least somewhat proportionally representative of the population!
