I'm probably biased but I think age reversal will be the most profound transformation in human civilization. Fire, agriculture, the wheel, electricity, the Internet, AI — all of it will look secondary next to age reversal. Why? Because all previous breakthroughs changed what we could build, move, compute or know. Age reversal changes the one experiencing all of it. It changes the human being itself, it changes us. Fire helped us survive. Agriculture fed us. Electricity powered us. The Internet accelerated information. AI is accelerating intelligence. But all of them share the same catch: our bodies and minds still age, decline and die. Age reversal is different. It does not just improve the environment around human life, it acts on human life itself. The real question is no longer if we can do it, but who we become when we do.

@allatra_ipm i mean plastic is cheap, durable and convenient, and everything breaks down into microscopic pieces eventually so thats not a surprise, as for the impacts we have to investigate that, im sure there are negatives

They told us plastic is cheap, durable and convenient. But research shows it never disappears—it breaks down into micro- and nanoplastics, entering our biosphere. How do these particles change our world and what impact do they have on us? Watch full video

@Peter_Bucci @clawrence if they could make the technology better then i would have to change my opinion on it, im not against these technologies, but at this point they are not going to replace the ones we use in the vast majority, i just find that people that support them over estimate them currently

Farms are not the 'natural state' of the land they are on. Farms are man made. They involve chemicals, pesticides, industrial processes, contamination of water, tons of diesel fuel to maintain. Since when did farms become some precious environmental thing?

If you use Jiu Jitsu , no school is going to suspend a student. There is a twist to this story. The other kid was a girl? The other kid was small and harmless? The other kid was handicapped? Your son used unnecessary force causing severe bodily harm? Your words knock the fuck out of you is not mature thinking. My son knows not to use overwhelming force that causes severe bodily harm and to pick his fights not let them pick him… off school property … avoid conflict except if the kid is really dangerous. This is bullshit.

MOM DROPS TRUTH BOMB: Her 14yo son SUSPENDED for the REST OF THE SCHOOL YEAR after getting PUSHED + PUNCHED in the face (bloody nose) by another kid. He defended himself — slammed the bully & used his jiu-jitsu. School: “Zero tolerance.” Mom: “We’re NOT raising snowflakes. If someone puts hands on you, you have FULL permission to knock them the f*ck out.” Polk County, GA — is this your policy?Punish the defender, protect the aggressor? Parents — be honest: Was her son RIGHT to fight back? Or should he have just taken the abuse like a “good boy”? What would YOU do if YOUR kid got suspended for defending himself?

@preestylar @MrAndyNgo yes because you see this happening with large groups of white kids all the time, oh wait you dont. making arguments that biggest segment of the population has higher individual numbers does not change the fact that this type of thing is predominantly coming from certain groups

@Peter_Bucci @clawrence yes i know how gas, oil, etc work, but they are far more efficient of an energy store and far more cheaper in general and in their current form wind/solar are nor useable for the purpose we need them for. its not a simple as you make it out to be

@froststar14 @clawrence you do realize that fossil fuels have a life span and have to be replaced, they also only produce energy when the Strait of Hormuz is open, they require resources and produce waste, they are not the perfect fix you think they are

Hmmm idk. I have severe ADHD. Thought experiemnt: If I had a choice between being stranded on a desert island with a long-term supply of adderall, vs not having the adderall, I’d choose having the adderall. I’d have way better chances of survival vs not. It has amazing survival benefit.

@froststar14 @clawrence We could convert 2% of global cropland (meaning all biofuel cropland, not food!) to solar and be completely unaffected. That would generate 78% of global electricity demand, enough to power all human transportation use easily.

If it's true that Muslims generally don't like dogs, I'd be open to the idea of just getting rid of them. They're bad for the climate, they're not very bright, they attack people randomly, they smell bad, and they do almost no useful work. So why does the West feel the need to have millions of them, just hanging around, a dead weight on the economy? And to make matters worse, many of them are even ginger. Many of my comrades think of them like children who need to be protected. They are not children! I know, as a climate activist, I'm supposed to love animals. But how much of this animal behaviour are we supposed to put up with, actually?

When AI replaces all jobs, faith will become more important. Spirituality will converge toward the optimal: truth, love, and peace. Practices of Christianity and Buddhism based on these core principles will grow in popularity. Judaism and Islam will decline.
