Where does winning live? In the little extra. - Extra reps - Extra focus - Extra effort - Extra energy - Extra accountability You don’t need to be perfect. You just need to go a little further than most are willing to.

“I believe in you, but you gotta want this moment.” True coaching isn't always quiet. It’s about meeting an athlete’s intensity with your own, demanding excellence because you care about their growth more than their comfort in the moment. That’s the work.

Some of the best players I ever coached weren’t the most skilled. - They weren’t 6’8. - They didn’t have D1 offers. But they played like every possession was their last, put their ego aside, and made everyone around them better.

@bballbreakdown Kids need honesty. Kids need truth tellers. Kids need standard bearers. Kids need transformational coaches. And yes… sometimes that comes with intensity. And that’s ok.

5 things coaches don’t like: 1. Excuses. 2. Entitlement. 3. Anti-team behavior. 4. Poor body language. 5. Blaming refs and teammates. Coaches can handle mistakes. They can’t handle losing mindsets.

🚨RECRUITS🚨 Whenever a school offers you a scholarship, on the spot, you need to ask them if it is committable. ANY answer other than, "YES", is a "NO". Your follow-up: "Okay, why isn't it committable and what else do you need to see from me to change this?" #BDPRecruiting

Do the hard, uncomfortable, difficult thing. Struggle, fall down, fail. Get up, realize you’re fine and that you’re stronger than you thought you were. Face the next difficult thing with more confidence. Rinse, repeat. Keep showing up. 🪵🪓

2026 Jalen Lewis (FSC PG) was a shot-maker here on Day 3 that caught our eyes. Got to his spots, confident from the perimeter, but was just as effective in being able to attack downhill. #PhenomPGNationals

2026 Chris Harris (FSC PG) was another part of the attack today on Day 3 for his team, as he played with a good motor, didn't settle and attacked, and looked to finish well in the paint and inside the arc today. Had a strong second half to help his team. #PhenomPGNationals

Being talented doesn’t make you a great player. According to Curt Cignetti, the real separator is how a player responds to coaching. That reveals three types of players: 1️⃣ Inconsistent players They take coaching on their own terms: • Accept praise • Resist correction 2️⃣ Good players They take coaching when it’s given: • Listen to feedback • Apply it in practice 3️⃣ Great players They seek coaching relentlessly: • Self-scout constantly • Ask for more correction Talent sets the floor. Your relationship with coaching determines the ceiling.
