@ftrmnstr @mzenitz Depending on timing, you also run the risk of giving the opponent the ball at the 50 of you miss, assuming that part of the rule is the same. So coaches will be careful when to implement.

@SouthernCharmSp @mzenitz That cloud/should change strategy at end of games. Now the question is if the punt goes out of bounds does that count towards this rule?

@ftrmnstr @mzenitz So technically speaking its not even the field goal team, its a free kick. So it looks more like a kickoff, just from wherever the ball is caught, and not on a tee

@SEC_Chuck That’s low key a more important rule. Your down 3 or less near end of the game and your kickoff guy has a leg. Fair catch at the 50 take the free kick?

Under another rule approved Thursday, a team can choose to attempt a kick after a completed or awarded fair catch. The kick will be a field goal place kick with a holder (no tee) or a drop kick from the spot where the returner caught the ball. If the ensuing kick goes through the uprights, it will add 3 points to that team's total. The defense is required to be at least 10 yards from the spot of the kick.

@ralphDrussoATH @BruceFeldmanCFB I’m sorry but the fair catch to a kick rule is more interesting to me. Targeting will get the headlines but that fair catch rule will be more impactful

Jaylen Waddle is not on the trade block. Dolphins aren’t moving him unless someone offers a top 16 pick, which isn’t happening. So stop talking about that one.

ChatGPT is overhyped. That's what I told myself after 2 weeks of trying (and failing) to use it well. Turns out, I was just a poor prompt writer. But after spending hundreds of hours tinkering, I've finally cracked it. And now, it's my personal writing assistant. Here's how:

@outsanest @DeItaone So in the last 40 years USA has had the largest most dominant economy in the world. Creating some of the greatest wealth ever. How is that a serious, unexpected, and often dangerous situation requiring immediate action?

@DeItaone President has a tariff authority during emergencies. And if 40 years of other countries abusing the USA is not an emergency - then I don't know what is.

🚨TRUMP CLAIMS TARIFF AUTHORITY DOES NOT REQUIRE CONGRESS President Donald Trump said he doesn’t need Congress to approve tariffs, claiming authority was granted long ago and reaffirmed by the “poorly crafted” Supreme Court decision.

I don’t get why people are surprised by this. The committee can’t use data they don’t have. Tech hasn’t played without Toppin yet, they will have by Selection Sunday. Pointless to just guess what they’ll look like without him, no?
Matt Norlander@MattNorlander

TOP 16 SEEDS REVEALED. The biggest shocker is Texas Tech being the best 4-seed in spite of no longer having JT Toppin for the remainder of the season. Alabama and Arkansas were the first tow cuts, per chair Keith Gill.

Fact-check on SpeakerJohnson's post: - Polls: Recent surveys (Gallup Oct 2024, Pew Feb 2024, Fox Oct 2024) show 79-84% overall support for voter ID; some hit 80-90%. Support varies: ~95% Republicans, ~50-60% Democrats. Nuances: ~9% of citizens lack easy proof of citizenship (Brennan Center 2024), raising access concerns. - ID to drive: Yes, required by law. - Open bank account: Yes, per federal KYC rules. - Buy cold medicine: Yes for pseudoephedrine-containing ones (e.g., Sudafed), tracked via ID under 2005 law; not all cold meds. - Get govt benefits: Often yes (e.g., SNAP, Medicaid), but varies; some allow alternatives to photo ID. - Enter DNC: Yes, credentials and ID required for security (DNC 2024 reports). Voting differs as a constitutional right; ID laws vary by state. Only citizens can legally vote federally.

Poll after poll shows 80–90% of Americans support proof of citizenship and voter ID to vote in American elections. This is COMMON SENSE. You need an ID to drive. To open a bank account. To buy cold medicine. To get government benefits. Even to get into the Democrat National Convention. Voting shouldn’t be any different. The integrity of American elections is essential. ONLY our citizens must decide them. End of story.

Ill die on this hill: the MVP vote should happen AFTER the Super Bowl. The entire purpose of this profession is to win. And, yet, we refuse to include the most important games of the year. Maye’s playoff run has been terrible no matter what stats you use.

Based on recent reports, Jake Paul claims Puerto Rico as his primary residence. He moved there in 2021 to benefit from tax incentives under Act 60, including 0% federal tax on certain income like capital gains. He also owns a large ranch in Georgia purchased in 2025 for recreational and family reasons, but maintains PR as his base.

Purposefully turning off the halftime show Let’s rally together and show big corporations they can’t just do whatever they want without consequences (which equals viewership for them) You are their benefit. Realize you have power. Turn off this halftime. A fake American citizen performing who publicly hates America. I cannot support that.
