@ScotsPolFed current situation is "ach, just send a crew anyway", because front line supervision are shit feirt to make a decision not to resource, due the usual "what if" mindset, in fear of the hindsight brigade questioning and not supporting their actions after something happens.

@hudson77449685 @ScotsPolFed This!! With the exception of the few, most AFO's want to go to these calls! Yet an ITFC who can, at times, be 100+ miles away in a cosy office / control room, is dictating an ARV deployment or not.

@ScotsPolFed Yet ITFCs are under C3 management instead of armed policing. Armed policing raise issues all the time yet C3 do nothing due to lack of ITFCs & fear of outcomes.

@ScotsPolFed Yet Policing in Scotland is broken, well and truly broken due to this continuous desire to save money since the creation of the Police Scotland monster. It needs an massive funding exercise to even try and fix it. Until then, the story continues of "do more with less"!! 🤦🏼‍♂️

@iaingray999 @hudson77449685 C - Speaking to a rep, I was told they emailed supervisors asking for the question to be asked of the shifts & for their comments / input. Turns out a lot of supervisors didn't cascade that any further to the shifts so reps in turn didn't receive votes / comments they asked for.

@iaingray999 @hudson77449685 D - Speaking to one of the reps last week, I was told some of their reps emailed out to members asking for their answer (majority who replied, said yes). Whereas other reps didn't ask the members and they themselves voted for what they believed was in the member's interest (no).

So pay deal agreed. -Where was the vote? -Still working 40 hour weeks. -Still 15-20% behind where we should be. -Allows government to kick Allander report down the road for a few more years. -Doesn’t address pay disparity between n/s & 9-5 office workers.

@iaingray999 @hudson77449685 Nope. Transpires some reps sent it to supervisors to be cascaded and voted on... and only some supervisors sent it on to the shift, others didn't (including mine, so I never got the chance to comment / vote).

@TheStinkySinky @ScotsPolFed 👆💯 if you will never be frontline again & your office job does not require warranted powers you’re no longer a police officer. You’re an overpaid civilian. It’s time to tackle this head on. It won’t be pretty but we can’t sustain this bullshit.
