@Bratt_world Mind you, a bridge under construction. So they can't even say that Iran military was using it. That's civilian infrastructure and it's a war crime. Add it to the list of schools, universities and hospitals USA has bombed. Fuckin sick to the core.

@Krugg_of_Crom Such great strategists. Commit war crimes and then cry when the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism for 47 years does it right back. Dumb.

@kikko_no_blog The US has already cleared the cost of Somalia of piracy in 2025. They sent out a bait ship, all the Somali warlords joined forces and went after it. The US Navy destroyed them all in one battle. No more piracy from Somalia since.

@kikko_no_blog Trump uses hyperbole quite a bit. In addition, he will strike at your negotiation pillar to throw you off balance. To some, this is very concerning. If you have to deal with him, it can be very difficult, if you are in a position of weakness.

@kikko_no_blog Countries say "Trump, open the straight of Hormuz" and he says "It is an international waterway, you do it". In response, he says "I did you a favor in Iran, you should pay me". This highlights how both positions are non-sense.

@JeninYounesEsq Nope, not appalled. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Back to the stone age with them if they can't get their act together. Don't point guns at people you do not intend to kill. Do not threaten others with weapons unless you intend to use them. Iran played the wrong game.

I really hope Iranians know most Americans are appalled by this, and have deep respect for Iran’s people, rich history and culture, unique and gorgeous architecture, and much more. We are not our atrocious government and are utterly disgusted by Hegseth and his ilk

America continued to import slaves until 1808, it continued to exploit them for another half a century. Not to speak about barbaric treatment of blacks until the late 20th century. I have no idea what you're trying to prove, you're a product of Europe, you literally wouldn't exist without it.

Americans can't swallow the fact that their country is profiting from being in Europe, because they can't stomach the fact that their country is the hegemon and not an action movie hero sacrificing himself for others in need.

President Trump, again tonight, demonstrates that he considers himself above the law, above the U.S. Constitution, and is a moral authority unto himself. He is a monarch in terms of the use of military power. What he says below is straight up illegal and a war crime. It is not a war in the historical sense, it is one man’s obsession with killing his opponent, regardless of whether military or civilian. In his blind lust for killing Iranians and destroying the civilian infrastructure, he will steel their resolve against us, making it less and less likely they will agree to a negotiated settlement to end the war, *increasing* the likelihood that even more American service members are killed in combat. If he commits the foolish decision to order ground action inside Iranian territory, he will be sending potentially huge numbers of Americans to unnecessary deaths. As a four time combat deployer, it grieves me more than I can say to watch this Administration so callously demean the lives of our finest, in selfish lust for military glory. Ultimately, he will being only suffering and shame on our entire country.

You soft-headed Americans, the ones still playing innocent while your bombs rain down on the other side of the world, you keep asking why Iran shouts Death to America after the revolution. Stop it. Just stop. Go read the tweet from your own barbarian president right now, the one crowing about smashing that bridge to hell. There is your answer, plain and bloody. Read it and swallow it whole. And after this do not ever ask Iran that question again. You already know. You have always known. And you, you orange pig rooting around in the White House, listen close. That magnificent bridge your jets just turned into rubble was raised by Iranian engineers. The same engineers who, under the iron weight of your sanctions, still stand third in the world for producing brilliant minds. They built it once under your boot and they will build it again, taller, stronger, more defiant than anything your death machine can dream up. You think you broke them. All you did was prove how small and savage you really are. Americans, wake the fuck up. Stand for your own basic rights, the ones your country never bothered to hand you in the first place. Not for Iranians. For yourselves. Look in the mirror and feel the shame burning in your gut. Then get off your knees and dismantle this death machine before it finishes devouring every last decent thing left in you.

@hahaha8201 Because the First Amendment has given us free speech for nearly 250 years, the social protocols of politeness are very loose in our society, which leads us to air our differences in a public fashion. We mean no harm or offense, and often make jokes about each other.

@jeosg7393 @planefag There is no need to apologize, friend. Those areas were hit hard in the 1970s and 1980s which led to the name "rust-belt". They have recovered but still have some room to improve. We welcome partners in both Alaska and middle-America.

Mr. @JDVance, Invoking the 25th Amendment is no longer a political choice, it is a legal duty to protect both U.S. military personnel and cabinet members from criminal liability: Recent public announcements by the President indicate plans to direct actions that would constitute war crimes under international humanitarian law. 1- Any order that manifestly violates the laws and customs of war is unlawful on its face. United States military commanders and personnel who knowingly execute such an order will be personally exposed to war-crimes charges before domestic courts (Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. §§ 918, 920) and international tribunals. The defense of “superior orders” has been unequivocally rejected since the Nuremberg Tribunals and does not shield individuals from criminal liability. 2- The Cabinet, as the principal officers of the executive departments, bears both a moral and a legal duty to prevent the commission of war crimes by the United States. This duty flows from the Cabinet’s oath to support and defend the Constitution, from the President’s own obligation under Article II to “take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed,” and from the international-law duty to prevent and suppress grave breaches of the Geneva Conventions. 3- The Cabinet is empowered to invoke the procedures of the 25th Amendment (Section 4) to declare the President unable to discharge the powers and duties of the office. This mechanism exists precisely for situations in which the President’s continued exercise of authority would cause irreparable harm to the nation and to the rule of law. 4- Failure by the Cabinet to discharge this duty and to resort to the 25th Amendment procedures, when the evidence of impending war crimes is clear, would itself entail legal liability under international law. Such inaction could be construed as complicity in, or culpable failure to prevent, the commission of war crimes, exposing Cabinet members to potential prosecution before competent international or domestic courts.

@kmbiamnozie That damage looks incredibly precise. Like they really didn't intend to destroy the bridge. I heard that the bridge was supposed to open two years ago but didn't. It was closed to the public but he IRGC was using it. I guess they can't anymore.

@jeosg7393 As one who lives here in Michigan, in the "rust belt," I can tell you the claims that it is all abandoned and dead are greatly exaggerated - even by my own countrymen. America still has a very big manufacturing sector; China hasn't taken it all by any measure.

America blew up the Nordstream pipeline, and now has closed the Strait of Hormuz. Hard not to see this as a deliberate strategy of denying energy to Europe, whilst America can produce its own. Callous.
