@bckomix I wish they’d be more sensitive and censor oth*rs.

I am more nostalgic for ads in comic books for old cartoons than the cartoons themselves. #ComicsHistory #AnimationHistory

@NotRay1995 Hello, I'm the White Slavemaster Critic. I remember it so you don't have to.

@NotRay1995 @an1me_f4n Joe's Sicilian. That's all you need to know.

Noveltoons with higher budgets, never got what the academy saw in these two

Question but do actual animation historians n Golden age fans think Tom and Jerry are garbage (I don't think so) compared to the more well-known Golden age characters

@big_simp That's old news. Bridge under the water. See, Crumb even drew a picture of Ralph's ass as a peace acknowledgment.

English

@ChoppyHopfe Yeah, when Krantz passed away, Ralph still seemed bitter about their falling out. I guess he cooled off on that.
English

@fuggindigit An amazing interview! Some really good anecdotes in here. It's also nice that Bakshi still likes Krantz despite all that's happened during Fritz and Heavy. Kinda refreshing to hear.

@R_YayOFFICIAL So the president came out of the closet after murdering Colbert? 2026 is already full of surprises.
English

I hate post-2016 Colbert, but I hate this even more. Great job!

Us younger, more cynical jerks like to scoff at '60s idealism, but I always thought it was beautiful. I don't any other generation (for justifiable reasons) had something like that. It reminds me of the "wave speech" scene in FALILV youtube.com/watch?v=MwTes2…

@bckomix @Patrickrogan731 Yeah, it can be a hassle to search, but if you know the right combo of words, maybe you'll find the result you need on the 3rd page :p
English

@fuggindigit @Patrickrogan731 Thanks laundry, I googled IA for it but their results don't always give me what they have.
English

@bckomix @Patrickrogan731 This is a good comic book, it has the precursor to what would become Art Spiegelman's "Maus." I like the art better in that story than what he finally went with in the graphic novels.
English

@Patrickrogan731 You know about the site that went down about a week ago and is (I think) back up? That one.
English

@SuperBabaBooeyZ By the time I got online more often, they were already closed down which is surprising. The site certainly was no longer up by 2004. I don’t know if it was still around when APC was on. Weekend Pussy Hunt was pulled off of Icebox by then too.
English

@fuggindigit hey laundry, I gotta ask you this question, did you got a chance to visit the Spümcø website back during the website’s prime, & what were your memories of that website, especially seeing various post-R&S Spümcø projects (like the Flash Cartoons & the TV Commercials)?

@DexLabfan I can't give a definitive answer, but the artistic conservatism of them is what rubs some people the wrong way. They're not experimental like their contemporaries at WB and certainly not as wildly creative as Tex Avery's shorts at MGM. Overall, they're still the best of GACs.
