A new Ralph Bakshi interview dropped and it's damn good. He doesn't talk about cartoons or comics, but rather philosophizes about art and writing. He also reveals some surprising thoughts on his old producer, Steve Krantz.

@ChoppyHopfe Yeah, when Krantz passed away, Ralph still seemed bitter about their falling out. I guess he cooled off on that.

@fuggindigit An amazing interview! Some really good anecdotes in here. It's also nice that Bakshi still likes Krantz despite all that's happened during Fritz and Heavy. Kinda refreshing to hear.

@bckomix @Patrickrogan731 This is a good comic book, it has the precursor to what would become Art Spiegelman's "Maus." I like the art better in that story than what he finally went with in the graphic novels.

@SuperBabaBooeyZ By the time I got online more often, they were already closed down which is surprising. The site certainly was no longer up by 2004. I don’t know if it was still around when APC was on. Weekend Pussy Hunt was pulled off of Icebox by then too.

@fuggindigit hey laundry, I gotta ask you this question, did you got a chance to visit the Spümcø website back during the website’s prime, & what were your memories of that website, especially seeing various post-R&S Spümcø projects (like the Flash Cartoons & the TV Commercials)?

@DexLabfan I can't give a definitive answer, but the artistic conservatism of them is what rubs some people the wrong way. They're not experimental like their contemporaries at WB and certainly not as wildly creative as Tex Avery's shorts at MGM. Overall, they're still the best of GACs.

Question but do actual animation historians n Golden age fans think Tom and Jerry are garbage (I don't think so) compared to the more well-known Golden age characters
