خدایا، دشمنای باهوش‌تری نصیبم کن. صدها نفر زیر این پستم تقریباً یه کامنت رو تکرار کرده‌ن، و مطمئنم هرکدوم فکر کرده‌ که خیلی حرف جالب و تازه‌ای می‌زنه: «اگه مخالف پادشاهی هستی، چرا تو کانادا زندگی می‌کنی؟» انگار به ذهنشون نمی‌رسه که آدم می‌تونه کشورِ پادشاهیش رو خیلی هم دوست داشته باشه، ولی در عین حال معتقد باشه که بهتره اون کشور جمهوری باشه. هیچ تناقضی هم توش نیست. بهترین آمار موجود نشون می‌ده که بیش از ٪۴۰ از شهروندان کانادا و حدود ٪۳۰ از شهروندان انگلستان جمهوری رو به پادشاهی ترجیح می‌دن. در سال ۱۹۹۹ هم حدود ٪۴۵ از مردم استرالیا در همه‌پرسی رأی دادن که کشورشون جمهوری بشه. کاملاً حق شماست که پادشاهی مشروطه رو ترجیح بدین. ولی قبل از تکرار این حرف بی‌معنی (چطور ممکنه کسی در کانادا مخالف پادشاهی باشه؟) بد نیست دو دقیقه فکر و یه کم تحقیق کنید.

Serious question: what the hell is the point of having a VP and a National Security Advisor/Secretary of State if you’re just going to parade around your corrupt son-in-law and some random hotel magnate as your foreign negotiators? (who some have accused of being “Israeli assets”, including some in the UK government)? Hopefully a good deal can be achieved soon and all this chaos ends.
