It’s a crying shame about Hawthorne on many levels. Many people have given their all toward making their livelihood at the track. It is also a tremendously sad family business story. Life is capricious, as is business, and then we are here.

Will this 1983 QV Ferrari be the hill I die on? Time will tell. There is serious rust which is concerning in places, Yet its a lovely 308 GTSi QV in factory code Azzurro 502/C by Glasurit or ‘steel blue metallic’. That's a very rare color now in 2026 and everybody loves blu now.

I say this w/love. The De Tomaso P72 design is lovely, configuration w/tweaked Ford V8 Coyote is perfect but owners of the brand … I wouldn’t trust to give me the correct date. They use AI for socials to suggest progress when there’s none. Recently made a client delivery claim!

Just south the 2100 block (where my then fiancée lived before our wedding & buying another place) was Landmarked 20yrs ago on Feb 6, 2006 👏 Built 1883 by architect Iver C. Zarbell for developer John T Davis. The entire 20-bldg block was planned & constructed at the same time.
