Finally got around to setting up the C11 for DSOs. The weight is right on the boundary of the ZWO AM5n mount but it appears to have coped well. M3 - Globular Cluster (30 x 120s) M51 - Whirlpool Galaxy (47 x 300s) Need to work on calibration frames now 🥱

My capture of the comet C/2025 R3 (PanSTARRS). This comet was discovered in September 2025, and it is at its brightest right now, potentially visible to the naked eye in dark skies before sunrise in the east. I used my Celestron RASA telescope and ZWO ASI533MC color camera.

This is the Sunflower Galaxy (M63) in Canes Venetici. It's about 27 million LY away. Only 2 hours of 2 minute shots make up this beauty. I used the Explore Scientific ED102 Refractor and ZWO ASI533mc Pro Camera and processed the images using Pixinsight. I love Galaxy season.

Jupiter with bright NEB spot on April 6th Some excellent seeing for a time on the 6th. Oval BA is seen right of centre showing a pale orange colouration. In the NEB just above centre is a small brilliant spot. This is a towering vertical thunderstorm driven by moist convection similar to those on Earth, though on a far larger and more energetic scale. Over the days ahead it will become sheared apart forming a bright elongated rift due to the wind currents at these latitudes.

Mare Orientale flyover from Artemis. This may be my favourite view of Orientale returned from the latest batch of mission imagery. It's a wonderful perspective across the basin with the lunar horizon nicely in view! Note all the ejecta trains radiating away across the field of view. It gives you an idea of what a monumental impact event this was. An asteroid around ~ 60km in size smashed into the lunar surface traveling at around 15km/s some 3.8 billion years ago. Comparison to the Chicxulub impact on Earth 66 million years ago, the impact that formed Orientale was several hundred times more powerful! 💥💥💥
