They pay armies of unemployed tweebs to call our policies and bilateral agreements with this same west inhumane, just to copy them with lesser offerings in terms of security and hygiene.
Fleeing bad living conditions to then be sent to the 4th poorest and 4th most dangerous country in the world (the 7th most corrupt in Africa), where local nationals are being burnt alive for looking “foreign”, is truly unfortunate.
But the hypocrisy is not surprising.
Beneath all the 🇨🇩 spite towards 🇷🇼 there’s a bizarre neighbourly phenomenon; a simultaneous bashing of our efforts and rushed, in some cases botched attempts to copy them. I don’t understand where this envy is coming from, and it’s uncomfortable pointing it out, but at this point it is hard to overlook as a likely reason for the hate-fanning against us. Now that the minerals we were falsely accused of plundering have been signed away to the US, with Trump himself stating word for word that the DRC president “begged him to take the resources”, I wonder how long the lie will hold and the hate+envy dynamic be justified.
If you think our policies are all smoke screens, and it’s through theft of resources that we are improving ourselves developmentally and in terms of international humanitarian presence…why do you copy all these policies?
In this case please at least replicate it better than you normally do, human lives are at stake.
