One of the coolest things about the new alert @NerdOrDieCom made (imo) is how the sound effects work. There's 5 total possible sound effects that are chosen randomly. But we didn't want it to repeat the same sound for the intro/outro. So we set up a system to check which sound was played on the intro, store that info, then ensure it doesn't play that on the outro. In addition to that it will wait to play the outro sound for the length of the user's chosen alert idle time.
It's a little thing, that turned into a slightly bigger thing, that I imagine not many will notice. So here I am shouting it into the X 😂 Video for eyes and ears showing this off (example 2 second idle time).

Everyone using Blender should learn #geometrynodes. It would take ages to what I do here in a few seconds by other methods. And I'm getting to leverage the Laces generator by @BeltMakerTool. I like my UV projection setup because I can adjust and block in fast #b3d

Desert mayhem dev day 24: Tonight I created a Tesla coil weapon that propagates to nearby cars.
Any ideas what the electricity could do to the cars?
I have years of experience with Niagara particles in Unreal, but only days of experience with Unity's VFX graph! This weapon was at the very limit of my capabilities as a programmer for sure! It took me forever just to get one beam working and I needed to make multiple!
The cars do not yet react to the electricity in any way, but the first pass visuals are there and the cars are told to get electrocuted! So it is just a matter of adding some status effects to the cars.

DAY11 of the grapple hook madman convoy ravager game project was weird! I did not do much of anything to this project! Here is a night level capture anyway!
I added some color to the health bars, tweaked the mechanic for what cars are available to hijack and why and made the enemy cars steer closer to the player to get to the weapon range. Simple tweaks. I am not quite sure where to go next. Maybe I should add missiles and other special weapons, mines, grenades etc. That could spice things up a bit!
