So many times this year we’ve seen a 4 pitch walk, or a 3-1 walk. Next guy goes up hacking at the first pitch. Don’t mind the aggressive approach at times, but would also love to work some counts

@ChiSoxFanMike The approach is so weird. They are trying to swing for the fences every pitch. They can't hit a breaking ball. Gotta hope this was a one off.

Irvin had his slow stuff working yesterday. Was moving the ball around the zone. Has also allowed 3 or fewer run in 5 of 6 starts. Some at bats could’ve been better, but he has his good stuff

@IconicRunsThis @ChiSoxFanMike Coulda found a way to come out with both, if not one. Just no timely hitting with the few chances they had.
Should also be noted the bats were hot in nicer weather, and the last two games which were a bit chilly they cooled off. Frustrating but still like what I’m seeing

Confused thinking in my opinion there. Bunting with a switch hitter, in a way that forces the need for a Benni hit lefty vs lefty.
It’s confusing because mostly rightly/lefty matters to this management team.

@ChiSoxFanMike To play devils advocate, Antanocci is also playing out of position and hasn’t looked great at the plate yet either. Small sample size, but he only played 2 weeks in AAA before being called up. Hard to make adjustments in that short of a span.

@ChiSoxFanMike We need to give it more time than a month to see. Playing out of position isn’t helping him either. If he’s still having the same struggles come mid May/early June, then maybe a stint in AAA could be beneficial
