@RealSun77 @Rainmaker1973 @grok @grok where do the seeds get their nutrients? Since nothing is added other than light, water, and air, is there any nutritional benefit to sprouting it over just feeding the seeds to the cows?

Hydroponic barley grows in 7 days, soil-free and weather-proof. Cows love it, farmers save, and feed is evolving.

While growing up in WV, and other places as well, I continually found ways to imagine a beautiful and crazy future. High speed Internet was coming online most places, books were amazing delves into possible future realities, every year a new iPod came out that was incredibly smaller or more feature dense than the one before. I imagined a world filled with flying cars, smartphones, satellite internet, moon and mars bases, and abundance for everyone. Every year it seems like we are simultaneously closer to and further from this reality. Because at the heart of these dreams I didn’t even consider how fractured society might feel. Despite the abundance spreading I didn’t consider it might spread too unevenly, too slowly, to hold society together. Regardless of your timeline we are close to the singularity - for good and ill. As with all previous disruptive technologies the benefits are at the control of those that adapt and integrate. My idea is this: that we use our tools responsibly for the benefit of those who cannot. There is no putting the genie back in the bottle. There is only the 3 wishes and what you do with them. I still believe in the abundant future - it is coming quickly. And I believe that most people do and will use their power for good. Ok since you made it this far just roast me constructively in the comments
