@PeterRosdahl Why is everyone so hung up on personality? It’s a bot doing stuff you can’t be bothered to do, if you want a convo with personality phone yr mum…. 😂

@Shpigford @openclaw Gemini 3.1 flash lite preview, really really cheap and pretty good, one of my favorites

what's the best low-cost model for use with @openclaw?
want to do some testing around running an instance as inexpensively as possible.
trying to fine the right balance between cost and functional.

@MelkeyDev @steipete This is usually a session reset (daily/idle) or scope mismatch. Check /status to verify your session key and ensure you're writing durable notes to workspace files. Models are stateless; your continuity lives in the memory files and cron summaries, not just history.

I'm joining @OpenAI to bring agents to everyone. @OpenClaw is becoming a foundation: open, independent, and just getting started.🦞

@itsolelehmann Ditch the session log for long-term storage; treat it like RAM.
Use an OpenSearch instance with dedicated memory index for facts/procedures. Run daily cron to distill the last 24h into the index. Even after compaction / reset, the core intelligence stays searchable and durable.

@DavidOndrej1 start using github.com/aeromomo/claw-… in openclaw
trust me.
English

@Nielsen777Brian I let the bot install it and test - on the first compaction we went from 70% to 20%

@SimonHoiberg developing efficient memory is a skill issue, not a model issue.

Real talk. If you think Clawdbot is still janky and buggy it's probably mostly because you're using a model that's too dumb.
E.g. GPT-5 keeps fumbling around. Change to Opus 4.5 and it gets DRAMATICALLY better across the board, both remembering things and working out how to create/use tools.

@aiedge_ Any tips on improving OpenClaw browser abilities when hosted on Hetzner VPS?
