Thread : What happened today at the CJP protest in-front of my eyes. I stepped out of my house this afternoon, completely oblivious, just heading out for a scheduled meeting. Within 25 minutes, I was trapped in an absolute nightmare near Connaught Place. For three grueling hours, I couldn't move forward or turn back. Cabs were completely gridlocked. Next to me, families were panicked with sick relatives inside their cars trying to reach the hospital. Even an ambulance was blocked, with absolutely no way given.

The children who were beaten and subjected to brutality — Delhi Police fractured the heads of 12-year-old girls. When I was watching near the barricades, I saw police personnel grabbing girls by their necks. A girl just told me that police personnel tore her clothes. Later, after taking her into detention, they also placed a foot on her chest. Wherever I saw people here, the police were swinging batons indiscriminately without thinking, injuring people's heads... The police were not concerned about these children. The police wanted someone or the other to lose blood today. I did not want that to happen. It is our responsibility; we were concerned about these children because they had come on our call."
