Our family was proud to join hundreds of Newfoundlanders and Labradorians at our National War Memorial for the first Remembrance Day ceremony since it was refurbished, with the tomb of the unknown added, to celebrate its centennial. We will remember them.

Another reason to turn away from those who voted for Trump is because of the people of Ukraine. Trump voters sentenced so many of them to be ground beneath Putin’s boot. It’s unforgivable.

Can’t help but note the efforts to work up rage about a false story about banning prayer at Remembrance Day from the same folks who brought coffee and donuts to the people dancing on the grave of the Unknown Soldier.

The part that truly sickens me is unless you’re a millionaire everyone who voted for Trump will still be better off if Harris were to win. The same isn’t true in reverse.

Key things now: - LOTS of votes to count; may take DAYS, as in 2020 - Harris a tad behind Biden in cities, but running ahead of Biden in large suburban counties - Quietly, Dems on track to take House - powerful check on Trump if he wins Get some sleep. It'll be a long week!

There were a lot of beautiful elements of the opening ceremonies. The laser light show, and some of the singing performances. Why did they have to ruin it with this?
