@_tessr @georgethms1 MF was on the right path with ZK-ignite giving the community the decision making power, but the direction went backwards into a centralized model. From my experience decentralization of decision making can happen fairly quickly if the conviction is there.

I can't speak for the whole board here, but here's my 2c on what needs to happen in the next year:
from MF:
• full realization of the decentralized treasury -- meaning that funding decisions should be made by the community, rather than by the MF
from O1:
• clear product and protocol roadmap that combines original vision for mina w/community feedback
• execution against this roadmap
neither of these things will happen overnight.

We've spent the last month interviewing community members from across the Mina ecosystem, and we hear you, loud and clear: Something has to change.
So we're making changes to create clear areas of leadership and accountability within Mina, starting with the Foundation itself.
I could not be happier that @bitbanter is stepping in as interim CEO of the Foundation; he has a truly unparalleled track record of creating unity and alignment, most recently with the Interchain Foundation and the Cosmos ecosystem.
A leadership change, on its own, may seem largely symbolic. But Josh is now in the right place to lay the groundwork for the core teams to execute well and deliver on the Mina vision, guided by community feedback and an emphasis on decentralizing the treasury and governance of the protocol.

Over the last month, the Mina Foundation board has engaged with the Mina community to receive feedback. As a result of this feedback, we believe the best approach for the ecosystem is for o1Labs to lead and take ownership of the technical roadmap for Mina. Mina Foundation’s focus will be to accelerate the creation and adoption of a decentralized treasury. Josh Cincinnati, Mina Foundation Board Member and President of the Interchain Foundation Council, will be stepping into the role of interim CEO and President of the Board for the Mina Foundation. Josh brings a wealth of experience leading ecosystems through transition periods, first as Executive Director of the Zcash Foundation, and recently by shepherding the Interchain Foundation to help unify the Cosmos ecosystem. Kurt Hemecker and Evan Shapiro have decided to move on from their roles at the Foundation. We are grateful for their leadership and stewardship over the years, and look forward to their continued contributions to the ecosystem. This marks a new chapter for Mina Protocol as we continue building a future powered by participants.

Heard you wanted an update on the status of bridges in the Mina Protocol ecosystem, check it out 👇 Aligned State Bridge @alignedlayer verifies different kinds of proofs on Ethereum, while improving verification speed and costs. Soon, this will include verifying Mina’s Kimchi proofs on Ethereum, enabling a powerful Mina → Ethereum state bridge (using @class_lambda bridge work). The Kimchi proof verifier for Aligned is feature-complete, and @MinaFoundation has kicked off a security audit with @hackenclub. Ethereum ←→ Mina Token Bridge Different from the state bridge enabled by Aligned, Mina Bridge will be a centralized token bridge for bringing ETH liquidity to Mina. The first version will support bridging wrapped ETH, with ERC20 tokens to be added after launch. A security audit by @zellic_io began in December. Mina Bridge is expected to launch on mainnet shortly after the audit concludes and any relevant fixes have been implemented.
