@web4O Yep. Bourbon is a “distinctive product of the United States” rather than a standalone GI like champagne. It can, in theory, be made anywhere.

@Bill_Linnane Yes. It was death by a thousand cuts. There’s a lot to it that won’t fit in a tweet but Irish whiskey needs to become a category for it to lift all boats.

@Bill_Linnane My better half just arrived back with kings county 4yr pot still this morning. Triple distilled too. I’d wager that there is/will be more distilleries off the Emerald Isle making pot still than on it by next year. It’s like the artic … the last great unexplored space.
