I hopped in line for World Cup tickets today to see the prices.
After waiting 5 hours, I only checked one match before getting error messages. I finally got into another—spotting $180 tickets for Haiti-Morocco—before more error messages and getting booted back into the queue🫠

When the 2026 World Cup was announced for the United States back in 2018, I told myself there was no way I’d miss it. I was going to be there in person, experiencing a World Cup on home soil and I know so many of you felt the exact same way.
Fast forward to now, and the ticket prices are completely astronomical. Outrageously unaffordable. What was supposed to be the dream of a lifetime has been priced out of reach for regular fans like me. I’m going to miss watching my country host the biggest event in sports… something I may never get to experience again in my lifetime.
Yes, they’re going to make money off this massive event on U.S. soil. But the greed has gone too far. It’s ruining the beautiful game and turning it into something only the wealthy can enjoy. A World Cup should be for everyone not just those who can drop thousands without blinking.
This is an absolute shame.

This is exactly how I feel. Crushed I can’t take my kids to experience this. Not looking for handouts but $400 for Ivory Coast v Curaçao when a 1/3 of stadium is empty is so greedy

It’s absolutely ridiculous that we have 25-year-old “students” who graduated 3 years ago still playing college football. My bill is simple: you get 5 consecutive years to play 5 seasons. After that, you’re done. No more of this “COVID free year of eligibility” crap.

🔴An actual title race, the prospect of a team winning a first title in 22 years, an actual relegation battle featuring two London teams with over 60k capacity. Six PL teams in the last 16 of the CL. Any member of the media class struggling to find intrigue or interest in this PL season should really not be in the job.
⚪️Re: people moaning about other teams styles of play. Arsenal (and others) have had to figure out ways to overcome deep blocks with nine defenders. Don't whinge about the solution (getting better at setpieces) adapt and solve the problem.
