Afghans are more than TWENTY times more likely to commit sex crimes than Brits. Crimes that were once rare horrors are now regular stories. Ministers deny it - but the whole country can see what's going on. My message to David Lammy: stop the cover-up, sort it out.

Pure propaganda to suggest they're getting a grip on asylum In 2025, the H.O. approved c. 60%-65% of asylum applications (incl. appeals) Portugal approved only 3% - 8%! Even France only approves c. 40%-50% Crucially, UK approves those who were REFUSED in EU countries The EU average is 36%, almost HALF our 60%-65%. The Home Office's high approval rating is a major pull factor. A significant percentage of certain nationalities (Eritreans, Afghans, Sudanese, Iraqis etc.) apply for asylum in the UK after having their applications rejected by other European nations Disgraceful for the Home Office to try to put a positive spin on this. There is no reason the UK can't be more like Portugal - other than a lack of political and civil service will.
Home Office@ukhomeoffice

Asylum decisions have quadrupled. The asylum backlog is now down from its peak of 175,000 to 49,000 people awaiting a decision - the lowest level since 2019. More decisions mean more asylum hotel closures and more illegal migrants removed or deported.

Robert jenrick spoke about Henry Nowak in parliament. But it shouldn’t have taken Rob to do it - it should have come from our MP @ThurrockJen Henry was a Thurrock boy. He’s one of us. I find her silence disgraceful.

@meadwaj Supermarkets close stores not because they want to, but because they have been loss making for a while. Why should the tax payer subsidise loss making stores by nationalising them?

Nationalise Morrisons, use it as the foundation for a new, publicly-owned grocery store selling high quality, affordable food. National-level version of the Mamdani plan in New York. Need to think big in a world with repeated, major shocks to essential supply systems.

@JeremyBrookman2 Statistically that is far less than the proportion of Welsh people in the UK who consider Cardiff as Britain’s second City.

@jeremycorbyn I thought you were going to say independent public inquiry into the Pakistani rape gangs. No you just want to protect them and persecute Jews.

I have written to Andy Burnham to ask whether he would establish an independent public inquiry into the British government’s complicity in genocide.

This was your flagship policy, that you proclaimed was “costed and ready to go” wasn’t it, Plaid Cymru?? This could be seen as an outright lie to the public to get their votes. “We haven’t started to plan out this work yet” they now say.. Wow.
Sharp End@SharpEndITV

"We haven't started to plan out this work... this is going to have to be a phased plan." Deputy First Minister Sioned Williams is asked how the government will pay for their flagship childcare offer. Watch the full interview on @ITVX or @Youtube

@MasterMaliq Few speak out against the extremists, few speak out about the grooming gangs. Radical clerics are welcomed in many Mosques. Not speaking out is almost a silent endorsement. Protecting these people in your communities is being complicit.

Muslims are not dangerous. We are human beings like everyone else, with families, love, care, and ordinary lives. Our faith teaches compassion, not hatred. Our Prophet taught respect and mercy. Yes, there are a few extremists who distort our religion and bring shame to it, but they do not represent the vast majority of Muslims. So why is it that many still get profiled and treated as suspects? Is it fear, or hate?

@ProducerCai How do you know this and how does this explain why they need a second laptop? Load of people seem to be coming up with random speculation. However, you would expect the original poster to have been informed why when they were issued them if there was a need.

One of the saddest emailed I’ve received (& I’ve true horror stories too) was from a mum of a sporty 11yr old girl. A weak headmaster decided to run an ‘inclusive’ school sports day. Because one 9yr old boy thought he was a girl. So No categories. Just age races. Not one little girl won a race. The little girl said to her mum .. ‘why should I bother mum?’ This is what we’re telling our girls..

@MickAntoniw1 I support Ukraine, but no — the only flags outside government buildings like the Senedd should be the Union Jack and the Welsh flag, except for official visits. Anything else risks us flying far more divisive flags down the line

@JeremyVineOn5 @jonw101961 To be fair, there needs to be a string deterrent. Many parts of the benefits system works based on trust and good faith so is open to abuse. We no longer live in a high trust society. There needs to be sting disincentives to commit benefit fraud or the system needs to change.

Should all benefit cheats be jailed? A woman who said she was housebound has been caught out after she was photographed running a 10k. Helen Green claimed 25,000 pounds in benefits, and now she's been jailed for seven months. What do you think?
