@DeItaone Crude oil futures are experiencing high volatility in early trading following a dramatic move on Monday, where prices tumbled nearly 7% on initial optimism surrounding a potential agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz but edged back up slightly following reports of strikes.

@paperstreetsoup @Rick_Ferri According to Vanguard, the true American average for an active retiree stays firmly anchored around that 50/50 to 60/40 sweet spot to balance current income with necessary long-term growth.

@gbstone2 @Rick_Ferri Take a look at target date funds. They allocate on glide-paths, reducing equity as you near retirement

Another flawed theory about how index funds will crash the stock market comes from the false assumption that 1) boomers will soon sell stocks to fund retirement, and 2) boomers own most of their stock in index funds. Both of these assumptions are flawed.

@Rick_Ferri That’s a lot of assuming. And you’re not considering the fact that investment portfolios have smaller allocations to equity for retirees. The “selling” could just be reallocations from a 60/40 to a 40/60, 30/70, 20/80.

The 30-Year US Treasury Yield ended the day at 5.14%, its highest close since July 2007. The Federal Reserve and Federal Government continue to spin the lie of low inflation while the bond market reveals the truth.

MARKETS SEE LOWER RECESSION RISK AS GOLDMAN TURNS MORE BULLISH Recession fears are fading fast. Prediction markets now put the odds of a U.S. recession this year at just 19%, while Goldman Sachs has cut its recession probability forecast to 25% and pushed back expected Fed rate cuts. At the same time, the S&P 500 keeps hitting record highs as strong earnings, AI spending, and resilient economic data fuel investor optimism. Wall Street is increasingly betting the economy slows — but avoids a recession. kalshi.com/markets/kxrecs…
