I did another half marathon - 30 mins faster than just a few months ago. Who says you can’t keep improving in your stroke recovery with a dollop of determination and good rehab. #thrivingafterstroke @TheStrokeAssoc

We need to go first. If we lived longer than you, we wouldn’t & couldn’t survive. It’s supposed to be this way. We also need to cross the Rainbow Bridge before you do so that we can be on the other side to greet you when you get there. We wait at Home for you. It’s the way it is

An op today to see if my initial surgery worked. And it did - rogue vessel obliterated!!! After a rubbish 2 and half years, I can get on with my life. I still have physical and mental scars to deal with, but a massive weight has been lifted. 💥😃 #stroke #rehab @TheStrokeAssoc

Great to be back in #Canada working with #NovaScotia Health Authority to improve access to care for the 1 million citizens who live in the Province. Nearly half the population reside in #Halifax but it’s geography is such that 8.3% of people do not have access to a registered GP.

Nova Scotia successfully increased its number of doctors last year, in the midst of the pandemic. “Last year … there was a net gain of 95 physicians. The province estimates it needs about 100 new doctors each year for the next 10 years.l cbc.ca/news/canada/no…

@ReporterTeresa @NatriceR We need a national human resource plan for healthcare, starting with educational institutions and moving from provincial ministries & licensing bodies to individual healthcare organizations such as hospitals. We’ve always needed one, but #Covid has magnified the need.
