Good morning, miners ☀️ If someone’s just getting started with Bitcoin mining… what’s the one thing you’d tell them? 👇

I have taken quite a step back from ₿itcoin mining shop talk on BT over the past few months. Listeners to the @UGMFPodcast know that I’ve spent the past year and a half converting a stranded Coal Bed Methane gob well into a natural gas Bitcoin mine. I’ve spent these many month picking up and installing generators, excavation work and site prep, running Ethernet and electrical wire, building a pretty sweet IT network, learning all I need to know about natural gas operations, plumbing work, hand threading countless sections of pipe, endlessly repairing generators and my compressor, repairing and replacing miners, draining drips, filter separators, and coalescing filters, mowing grass, cleaning the garage, plowing snow, dealing with my very nice but needy free gas customers, and what seem like near constant oil changes 😅 all while maintaining my fiat job and family life with my beloved @StotheBandaD and our three daughters. It’s a good life. It’s full of hard work, worry, struggle, successes and failures. Lately more failure than success, but I’m coming up on the other side of it. There’ve been many a lonely day and night at the well, thinking and praying… what have I got myself into? Mining is a grind, of this there is no doubt. I was speaking with my good friend @mrcdbrown3 the other day, he said “₿itcoin mining is doing exactly what it’s supposed to do, make everyone miserable” (something like that). Misery loves company, as miners we have a lot of company lately. Hash price is brutal and has been for a long time. Miner capitulation is coming and there’s blood in the streets. It’s wild to think @MaxBitbuybit, @Mrcrownnnnn, Sarah, and I spun up the Pleb Miner thing only 4 years ago, it seems like a lifetime. The positive zeal for mining was palpable. The camaraderie and brotherhood amongst the Pleb Miners was something to behold, as was the work ethic and innovation. I made friendships that will surely last the rest of my life. I’m writing this tweet to ensure that we never lose that feeling we had when we first rallied behind that skull, or maybe to convince myself… to never lose it.
