Our model including the images from prior screening mammograms validates with robust and superior performance to using only one mammogram. This performs across a cross range of race and ethnic groups including Asian women. Wonderful to complete this work with data umbi

Development and Validation of Dynamic 5-Year Breast Cancer Risk Model Using Repeated Mammograms Out on JCO Clinical Cancer Informatics Study developed and validated a dynamic #BreastCancer (BC) risk prediction model that incorporates multiple years of previous mammogram images to improve 5-year risk estimates. The model was trained on a cohort of 10,099 cancer-free women and validated on an external cohort of 18,360 women. The dynamic model significantly outperformed models using only the most recent mammogram, achieving an AUC of 0.80 for 5-year risk prediction compared to 0.74 for static models (p < .01). It identified high-risk women, including 61% of diagnosed BC cases, and performed well across both Black and White women. The findings suggest that using a woman's screening history can enhance BC risk prediction and help guide decisions for supplemental screening or preventive interventions. @gcolditz Ping #BreastCancer Faculty @matteolambe @aftimosp @E_de_Azambuja @NicoleKuderer @FAndreMD @prat_aleix @DrSGraff @jesusanampa @StoverLab @curijoey @ErikaHamilton9 @double_whammied @stage4kelly @coffeemommy @itsnot_pink @maryam_lustberg @IBCResearch @kevinpunie @nicolobattisti @raalbany @hoperugo @stolaney1 @LoiSher @jamecancerdoc @JavierCortesMD @JaniceTNBCmets @Prof_Nadia_H @itrisabel #OncoAlertAF @nataliagandur @acampsmalea @BiagioRicciutMD @yekeduz_emre @HHorinouchi @FadiHaddad_MD @Dr_Ivanoncologo @Abdallah81MD @FernandoOnco @ElisaAgostinett @to_be_elizabeth @lungoncdoc @bavilima @realbowtiedoc @Erman_Akkus @DrFMartinelli @Lucarecco buff.ly/3ZEXvbt

Wonderful to have another paper from the breast precancer atlas out! Data suggest different molecular mechanisms drive initiation and subsequent ipsilateral breast events in Black vs. White women.
