@gctoddh Was it after a storm? Hi, I’m Reiko with Spectee, an online news agency.
1. Did you record/own this video yourself?
2. May we and our media partners use it with credit?
3. Please let me know the filming date/time/location.
Thanks.

My little sister asked for my email address.
I told her it’s just my first name and last name at Gmail.
She looked at me like I had casually announced that I own beachfront property in Malibu.
She said, “How did you get that? I could never get mine.”
I said, “Because I was there when Gmail was invented.”
And that is apparently how I found out my email address is now considered historical evidence.
Back then, you could just type your actual name and somehow it was still available.
No extra numbers.
No random underscores.
No adding “official” at the end because twelve other people had already claimed it.
Just your name and Gmail.
Simple times.
My sister looked genuinely impressed, like.......

@DodgysDD I've worked in skilled nursing facilities and the residents are interesting to talk too. Many will be happy to talk to someone eager to listen.

@alexbeauchamp3 Unfortunately with the size of the church, it's easy to be anonymous or feel unseen. This is true especially for those people who think of themselves as awkward introverts. It's one of my absolute favorite Sundays. The Holy Spirit was moving during the worship.

Yesterday I went to a local church to watch a friend get baptized.
While I was there, I kept noticing the girl I’m hugging in this photo. She was waiting to get baptized, and I just felt this pull to go encourage her… like she might not have anyone there for her.
After she got baptized, I went up to her and started talking to her. She was there completely alone. She told me she’d been coming to church on and off for 4 years and finally decided to get baptized.
I got to pray over her and just be with her in that moment, which felt really special.
I share this to encourage you. Don’t ignore those nudges. Gods after our obedience all it takes is a willing vessel to share the love of God

@SydneyLWatson Wife has been in pain for 5 months. The hospital wanted to collect $60,000 before her laprascopic surgery to diagnose endometriosis on Fri. That doesn't include Drs. I laughed at the made up number & got short term surgery coverage. Let me just give you my annual salary of $60k.
English

Seen a lot of conversation about how predatory the American medical system is.
So I will weigh in.
I ended up going to the ER about 2 weeks ago for crippling pain. Turned out to be a ruptured ovarian cyst. I was there for MAYBE 4 hours.
My bill? $13,500 dollars.
Because I'm uninsured (by choice, that shit is a SCAM), the hospital dropped my bill down to $8,100 and some change as an "uninsured" discount.
For starters, $13,500 for a 4 hour hospital visit is insane as it is.
But the fact the hospital can wipe $5,000 off the bill "just because" should show you how utterly fucked this system is.
And to be clear - $8,000 is still an absolutely insane sum of money when all these people did was scan my stomach and give me some pain killers.
On my itemized bill, my CT scan was 7k. The iodine they used was $900. Just being in the ER room alone was $2,500.
We phoned the hospital to haggle. They dropped the price by $20.
Normal people can't survive this shit. I do okay and $8,000 is still an INSANE chunk of money out of my savings.
Anyone who argues this isn't a disgusting, predatory system is crazy. And it is even crazier that Americans accept this.
And for those of you who argue this is the free market, I need you to be quiet. There can never be a true free market here when government and insurance have their creepy little fingers in this pie.
People shouldn't go bankrupt trying to pay medical bills. This has to change.

@gabor_rar @heynavtoor Interesting... Do you think the 2014 study was flawed or corrupted to force the outcome that the researchers desired?
English

@heynavtoor Morehead, Dunlosky and Rawson ran a direct replication in 2019 and failed to reproduce this. Across replications they found a small, nonsignificant longhand effect. Psychological Science issued a 2018 corrigendum. People keep citing the 2014 version.
English

You take notes in meetings because you think you'll remember more.
Princeton and UCLA proved the opposite.
Laptop note-takers wrote down 65% more words than longhand note-takers. They also scored significantly worse on understanding questions.
A week later — with their own notes in front of them — they were still worse.
This effect has a name. It's not what you think. 🧵

@DodgysDD FSD is great. I'm selling my 2017 Model S with HW3 and buying a 2024 Model 3 with HW4. I've probably driven 80,000 miles on autopilot. Nothing else compares.
English

Really debating on buying a cybertruck (not even sure where I would get one cont in inventory)
I literally work all the time while driving and I need FSD because I HATE driving for long periods of time and this would just be more efficient
Also I don’t want a any other model tbh bc not as cool and I could write off cybertruck and make it cool
Obviously the price of it doesn’t matter but it’s really the convenience and going to charge it etc
Anyone with some good inputs on this who owns one or who owns FSD?
English

@WalkableAustin It's an engineering marvel. I like watching it get built. They are adding 2 HOV special use lanes.

I am not what they want me to be.
My God says I am...
Known by Him - Psalms 139:17
His Son - John 1:12
Saved - John 3:16
His - Isaiah 43:1
Loved - 1 John 4:10
Wonderfully Made - Psalms 139:14
Chosen - Ephesians 1:4
Complete - Colossians 2:10
Enough - Romans 8:2
A Warrior - Ephesians 6:10
Forgiven - Ephesians 1:7
Set Free - Romans 8:2
A New Creation - 2 Corinthians 5:17
So no, I am not bothered by these demons which are hellbound.

Read the Bible, shun everything else and the opinions of man. Pray, talk to Him by Name... Jesus or Yeshua.
Ask Him to give you faith, ask for forgiveness for the sinful things you do, did and repent. Turn towards a belief in Him, that He is able and willing to save you from a separation from Him, after you die or at the time of the harpazo or PreTribulation Rapture.
Ask Him to give you understanding and a peaceful mind to endure this wicked world and the evil in it. Ask Him to bless your works for others sake, in that He would receive all the Glory.
Walk with Him daily and talk to Him like a child does to their Father... and have always a spirit of expectation.
Place your entire trust and hope in His finished work and shed blood. He is able to meet every need but He desires worship and adoration above everyone and everything.
Few can make that sacrifice it seems but then doubt He exists. Taste and see, that the Lord is Good!
