@theverybest5000 The company who makes mistakes for literally every event and gives phony apologies for those mistakes and inadequate compensation for their failures, they made damn sure that everyone they invited got the biggest fukn get in this game.

Time and time and time and time again, the company behind our beloved game reminds us of the explicit and utter disdain they have for their players. And inviting a small, hand selected fraction of a fraction of the player base to a secret event and giving them GUARANTEED‼️ HUNDO‼️ MEWTWO‼️ ... is possibly the most egregious offense they've pulled off in these 10 years. In my opinion, this was a despicable display of arrogance, disrespect, and ingratitude to the people who are the backbone of this game - meaning ALL OF US! The people who play on their commute to work or running errands. The people who grab their friends or family during the week for a few raids after a busy day. The people who have to plan ahead and take off work so they can enjoy big events. The people who invest their time and resources to attend in person events. All. Of. Us. Last night, Niantic / scopely sent the clearest possible message: we are nothing. They seriously went out of their way to create a whole ass ELITE CLASS of... fucking pogo trainers?? God even writing this sounds ridiculous. Ffs people who LIVE IN NYC were EXCLUDED from getting the perks of this event if they didn't have a damn INVITE!!!! How ABHORRENT. Not to mention the very obvious part... trainers spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars to play in person events, and even these people often leave without a hundo legendary, let alone a hundo with a rare exclusive background. Yeah yeah this was a "pr event" held in a relatively small area. Well, to the pr team- BAD JOB GUYS. How could you have possibly thought people would react positively to this?! Wow thank you soooo much for including a live stream so us peasants can tune in while you give free hundo mewtwo to a group of handpicked elites. What the hell were you thinking?! Very Marie Antoinette. Jesus Christ it was just so easy to do literally anything else. If y'all are suddenly down to just give people hundos, how about if everyone woke up today with a random hundo legendary (maybe even with a cool 10th anniversary background) as a reward to claim. Now wouldn't that be interesting and - god forbid - INCLUSIVE. That woulda given ya some nice ass pr and much needed goodwill among your players. We've always known that creators and ambassadors get behind the scenes perks. But this goes far beyond anything imaginable. Fuck everyone who makes time in their daily lives to play, fuck everyone who travels to in person events. Free hundo exclusive bg legendaries for the elite class! Despicable and abusive business practices for 10 years culminate in this egregious act of disrespect. So undeserving of the gold mine that is the pokemon IP. Everyone who was behind creating and organizing this event should be ashamed of themselves. ***To be abundantly clear, this is NOT negativity to anyone who attended.
