Ham is for Easter. Turkey is for Thanksgiving. These two should not be interchangeable. I await your angry comments.

@ABDanielleSmith Judges come from Alberta, many of them born here. How could they not understand our communities, they grew up in them. No need to make this amendment.

Alberta is responsible for how justice is delivered in this province but has no direct role in appointing the judges who serve on our courts. Those judges make decisions that affect Albertans every day, and they should understand the communities and province they serve.   Alberta is calling for a constitutional amendment to give the province a formal role in superior court appointments.   We are calling on all parties and Members of Parliament to support it. See more details of our proposed legislation here: alberta.ca/release.cfm?xI…

@unlearn16tweet @kinsellawarren Yes a CCF idea. However I would say there hasn’t been a great original idea out of the NDP for a generation. I do wonder if this is the end of this party as a national voice now.

I'm a typical Canadian centrist. I think the Liberals sometimes have a good ideas, I think the Conservatives sometimes have good ideas. I think the New Democrats always have really bad ideas. #cdnpoli

@BenGrahamUK Funny how Easter is a pagan celebration that the Christian’s stole to help get people to convert. Maybe it’s about Easter returning to its roots, a celebration of conception and birth.

Britain has been a Christian nation for over 1,400 years. Through wars, plagues, and countless kings, Easter has always been celebrated. Yet now, Cadbury won’t even use the word ‘Easter’ on their eggs. When did celebrating British traditions become controversial?

@AzorcanGlobal Not sure he meant that. I think that was a statement on the organization about buying into and executing a system. A GM, coach and player responsiblity.

@OwenNewkirk Tough call no mater what. If Nurse is there 1/2 second earlier he forces MacKinnon around the net, if MacKinnon looks up ice he sees Nurse and goes around the net. A hockey play no matter how you score it, but with the significance of the injury I think you have to give the 5.

Avalanche F Nathan MacKinnon was assessed a 5-minute major & a game misconduct for goaltender interference at 19:25 of the 2nd period tonight for this collision with Oilers G Connor Ingram, who left the game with an injury. What do you think, right call??

@Aldamir @simongerman600 That region's trade and medical supports largely come from Southern Alberta, its closer to Calgary than any BC big city. Its just a convience thing because of that.

@simongerman600 Never understood why a bit of BC took the Alberta time zone, but the Pickle Lake/New Osnaburgh/Atikokan micro-timezone is really something else!

@Canes @TreenasOil These 2 are absolute jokes. Should be kicked out of the building. I say this as an Oilers fan. Honestly if watching a game makes you incensed enough to do this, you need to get some therapy.

@tyleryaremchuk I don’t think either of these are the primary factors. They lack on ice leadership on each line and a refusal to listen to the coaches; refusing to execute the game plan and basically giving a crap in their own zone.

Carolina wins by throwing pucks on net and winning puck battles. Oilers have zero interest in either. Just want to make cutesy passes around the perimeter. No drive to score ugly goals. The result is this. Gotta start winning soon, but running out of time.

@jsbmbaggedmilk They kept Picard for a reason. Be interesting if something actually happens with Ingram.

@Archaeologuy You can't cut taxes (corp & personal) and then be surprised when there isn't enough money to go around. This is basic math and the UCP is struggling with it.

@dstaples No one has been radicalized. They have a different opinion than you do. Show everyone the respect they deserve by cutting out the dog whistle approach to your arguments. You have a different opinion than people. That’s ok too. I’m sure you wouldn’t consider yourself radicalized.

If Team Canada won & celebrated with Mark Carney, I would still admire Team Canada winning but still detest many of Carney’s policies. I would not blame Team Canada for Carney, nor think players were awful people for meeting someone I disagree with. Is that so hard to do?
Frank Seravalli@frank_seravalli

If you can’t celebrate an Olympic accomplishment for and by the USA 🇺🇸, you are on the wrong side. Period. We truly reached the theater of the absurd when it became “news” last week that hockey players are proud of their country.

@JasonGregor It’s a good question, harder because he is a bit of a Swiss Army knife. I’d leave him in the top 6 most of the time. The reason is I don’t think there is anyone on the team that can compliment McD or Drai when needed.

Which line/position does RNH fit best on the Oilers? The Oilers biggest need heading into the trade deadline is a second pair RD. And because of that, they should look internally to fill the 3C spot. They have a good option. They need to use him. oilersnation.com/news/where-rya…

JUST DROPPED: Supreme Court decision on (most of Trump's tariffs). They're unconstitutional. They've always been unconstitutional. Turn 'em off. This wasn't a trade war; it was a pointless and illegal diversion.

@tyleryaremchuk Said at the time of the trade, this was not an upgrade in goal. This trade was always about a trade in scenery for both of them.

@byterryjones I like the penalty shot, its exciting and fun to watch. I do think that if the player is not successful it should be a powerplay.

Another puck pet peeve. Penalty shot. Team should have option. Penalty shot or power play. Oilers would take power play. McDavid just stopped on penalty shot.
