@SteelWoolStudio Good communication Steel Wool, also don't listen to the people saying this is unacceptable; if you guys need more time- then you guys need more time. But again, good communication.
Hey all! To continue our commitment to provide more communication to the community, we wanted to give an update on the Secret of the Mimic PC VR launch. Here’s the plan as of today, barring any pesky 1’s or 0’s acting up out of nowhere!
PC VR is currently planned for the middle of next week. We’re finalizing a patch for a pesky issue related to SteamVR framerate overrides, and our QA team is currently confirming the fix.
For a little inside info: whenever we have a new build to test, our internal QA team has to run a full test sweep, which takes days. We don’t just test the things that were patched, we also make sure we didn’t accidentally introduce some new wonkiness elsewhere.
For this title, testing is a little extra spicy because we functionally have two different versions of the game: Flat Mode and VR. That means QA has to test both independently.
Once PC VR launches, we’re planning to release the PlayStation VR2 patch as soon as possible so we can maintain parity between both platforms.
Thanks for the patience!
@FuhNaff@FNAFSOTM@SteelWoolStudio John, you're literally enabling their behavior. They should be setting realistic goals or staying quiet as a whole until they know it's ready. It's unprofessional to keep tweeting unrealistic goals, because it makes them lose credibility.
@FNAFSOTM@SteelWoolStudio They said it was their goal to release it by this week. There were no promises, and they explained exactly why they need more time. We are talking about the vr port of a fnaf game that came out a year ago, it is not that serious.
@Femboyscookies@Throwintogutter@BLOOD805213 Then give a more realistic expectation/timestamp when the port will be ready instead of trying to overshoot it time and time again. It's not that difficult, they need to stop acting like they're getting stuff done.
@Throwintogutter@georgedoyd@BLOOD805213 But if you had read their post you'd see that it takes 3 days to test each version and they didn't know if they would make it or not lol.
@BLOOD805213 We would be lucky if they stopped trying to act like a good studio and instead give a realistic timestamp when the port will actually be ready.
@Foxxin1104@FNAFSOTM@SteelWoolStudio Then don't make a "goal" if you know you're not going to meet it. It's basic marketing knowledge. You wouldn't know because you're a retarded fan.
@Foxxin1104@NimaroRR@SteelWoolStudio They first claimed to release the port in a couple days. Then they claimed to release it in 2 weeks. Now they're claiming to release it next week. The lies are in front of your eyes. Open them.
@SteelWoolStudio To everyone praising Steel Wool: you're a part of the problem. You're enabling this behavior. The more you keep glazing them and telling them they're doing a good job, the most they will think this is acceptable. Do better as fans.
@SteelWoolStudio You're the worst team in history. 4 delays is completely unacceptable. You're the most pathetic excuse of a dev team I've ever witnessed in my life. Please pass FNaF to another team, because this is hurting the franchise.
@SafeVerseTop@SteelWoolStudio i hope you're aware that a large majority of their consumers are on Steam? it's also horrible for a team like SWS to market a date and not communicate with their consumers that it's exclusively for the psvr2.
