This is a math class this morning at @MIT. This is the state of learning and ‘free speech’ at our top universities. It would not be happening without a failure leadership at MIT. Imagine being a student who borrowed $250k to attend MIT or a professor who is trying to do research in this environment.

In the past 24 hours I have been accused of releasing a pro-lynching song (a song that has been out since May) and was subject to the comparison that I (direct quote) was not too pleased with the nationwide BLM protests. These references are not only meritless, but dangerous. There is not a single lyric in the song that references race or points to it- and there isn’t a single video clip that isn’t real news footage -and while I can try and respect others to have their own interpretation of a song with music- this one goes too far. As so many pointed out, I was present at Route 91-where so many lost their lives- and our community recently suffered another heartbreaking tragedy. NO ONE, including me, wants to continue to see senseless headlines or families ripped apart. Try That In A Small Town, for me, refers to the feeling of a community that I had growing up, where we took care of our neighbors, regardless of differences of background or belief. Because they were our neighbors, and that was above any differences. My political views have never been something I’ve hidden from, and I know that a lot of us in this Country don’t agree on how we get back to a sense of normalcy where we go at least a day without a headline that keeps us up at night. But the desire for it to- that’s what this song is about.

Ed, the Govt does a tremendous amount of funding. So much so that it is abused. As a former business owner, I have observed a significant disconnect between what business needs and what is being taught. Fix this first. There are reasonable solutions to handle some (not all) loan forgiveness.. one being service in our armed forces…

When it comes to student loan forgiveness, I understand both sides of the argument. When it comes to PPP loans I also understand both sides of the argument. There is no right side or wrong side. There are just opinions. With that said, however, I find it extremely hypocritical that many of those who supported PPP loans are highly against forgiving student loans. I personally believe investing in education should be a top priority in America. Whether it is public schooling, colleges, trade schools or specialty schools, it’s an investment worth making. I personally would prefer to see government funding of education than loan forgiveness. The government should pay for college and help young adults learn new trades. It will ultimately increase our productivity as a nation.

Tell me Why I should pay to cancel her debt? She signed a contact that she would pay her loan back with interest. This is not how you season a generation to take the reigns of this country. Shame on our politicians. It’s all about votes.

WNBA player calls America “Trash.” Natasha Cloud who plays for Washington Mystics said “Our country is trash in so many ways” after the Supreme Court ruled affirmative action practices by major universities are unconstitutional. The courts decision means universities must offer prospective students admission based on their accomplishments rather than their skin color.
