@CBSNews The problem is unsolicited mail in ballots where entire voter rolls get mailed an official ballot. If you don’t realize how insecure that is, you’re not qualified to report on this.

President Trump claimed "mail-In ballots are inherently corrupt," while advocating for his SAVE America Act, which would ban mail-in voting, except in certain cases. FACT CHECK RATING: False. There is no evidence of widespread mail-in ballot fraud or corruption in states where no-excuse absentee or universal vote-by-mail is offered. The Brookings Institute found an “average total mail voting fraud percentage across the 2016, 2018, 2020, and 2022 general elections of only 0.000043%, or about four cases of mail voting fraud out of every 10 million mail votes.”

Standard Time; the time observed during the winter from November to March is the natural, astronomical time. It aligns best with the sun, where solar noon happens when the sun is at its highest point. Daylight Saving Time is a man made shift designed to extend daylight into the evening. So, again, politics is against nature, against what would benefit humans most; Standard Time. Not to mention the thousands of things wrong with the country, they focus on this.

BREAKING: The House has passed legislation to make Daylight Saving Time permanent nationwide, ending the twice-a-year clock changes by a 308-117 vote. Backed by President Trump, the bill now heads to the Senate. If approved and signed into law, Americans would no longer have to change their clocks.

This should go without saying, but yesterday's ninth and 10th innings in NY ... Don't strike out. Take a walk. Put the ball in play. Advance the runners. Throw strikes. Make the plays.

Some wild pearl clutching over the Balogun decision. Hasn’t this happened before?
Ben Jacobs@JacobsBen

🗣️ UEFA says the decision to suspend Flo Balogun’s red card “crossed a red line” and it an “unprecedented, incomprehensible and unjustifiable decision.” “Yesterday’s decision to suspend for a probationary period of a year the implementation of the one-match automatic suspension following the red card issued to the player Folarin Balogun crossed a red line. “Football, like any other sports, relies on rules, which are the basis for fair, honest and transparent competition. Sometimes rules are open to interpretation. In this case not. “A minimum automatic suspension of one match following a red card is not a discretionary option and does not require the decision of a competent body to be enacted. “It is a principle embedded in regulations, which cannot be made subject to exceptions, let alone in the middle of a tournament where several other players have been in the same situation and regularly served their suspension. “When the certainty of rules is no longer guaranteed by its guardians, the integrity of the game is at stake and the credibility of a competition is undermined. Equally, such decision creates a precedent in the ongoing tournament, where similar situations will now require an equal treatment, to the detriment of the competition. “Football is the most loved sport in the world because it is a beautiful game and is trusted because it is played everywhere with the same laws. “A tournament is never a pure standalone and, if the tournament in question is the World Cup, it has the power to drive positive or negative consequences on the game as a whole. “We express our disbelief at such an unprecedented, incomprehensible and unjustifiable decision.”

@CBSNews If Folarin Balogun is a true sportsman, he should decline the reversal of his suspension saying it was tainted by interference from the president of the United States. He can further state that the U.S. team is strong and can win without him! 🇺🇸

President Trump thanked FIFA for "doing what was right" after Folarin Balogun's red card suspension was reversed, calling it "a great injustice." Folarin Balogun is the U.S. Men's National Team's leading scorer, and he will now be eligible to play in the World Cup match against Belgium on Monday.

Now that we’re a couple days removed from the Jaylen Brown trade, let’s kinda realize you essentially replaced Brown with Jayson Tatum, then added Paul George, Mitchell Robinson and four picks. Payton Pritchard will get more touches, Scheierman and Gonzalez get more minutes. This is a better team.

The one free throw rule will be tested at the upcoming NBA summer leagues. With this rule, any foul that would typically result in one, two or three free throws under standard NBA rules will instead result in a single free throw attempt. That attempt will be worth the same total number of points as the free throws it replaces. Standard NBA free throw rules will apply during the last two minutes of the fourth quarter and throughout overtime.

@iJordanMoore You are not factoring in the workload JB provides which benefits his teammates’ workload, especially Tatum. Moreover, this is all about money. It’s the private equity playbook.

Now that the dust has settled, it’s easier to understand why Boston moved on from Jaylen Brown. • 36-6 without him over the last three seasons (90-36 all-time) • Jayson Tatum’s impact metrics jump with Brown off the floor • Payton Pritchard’s numbers improve significantly without Brown • Brown finished his Celtics career with a negative on court/off differential • No NBA player suppresses his teammates’ scoring more while on the floor than Brown, according to the data Could they have gotten a better return? Absolutely. But when you factor in the looming supermax, the analytics, and the opportunity to add Paul George, it’s not hard to see why they made the move. Whether it’ll work is another conversation. But the logic behind it is pretty clear.
